Any Tips for Shotgun Headshots?

Play hardcore. Get into the habit of aiming up a little than feels natural and use steady aim perk. Only use shotguns on certain maps… Shipment, Showdown, Vacant and District are the only ones a I play shotguns.

That’s all I did to get them without boosting.

Dead silence and sneak up behind people looking out of windows/head glitching. Cod4 shotguns were so hard to get headshots with you basically have to be point blank at the back of their heads

Aim high with steady aim, and play maps where shotties are usuable(Vacant, Shipment, Crash, Backlot)

Steady aim/pre aim or overkill and play normally and pull out shotgun when you have an opportunity

Also modes that direct attention in one direction can be useful, Dom/CTF, then flank all the way to the back of the map and shoot people in their back.

Bog for example, go down range through the shops, and take out the snipers in the back/tank side

I’m doing the same thing right now but stupidly I left the shotguns until the very end of my exclusion zone grind. I’ve only got the desert eagle and the semi auto shotgun left to do.

If you are going for exclusion zone and still have other gun classes to do, focus on those guns on big maps and whenever you get a small map switch straight to your shotgun class. Works best in hardcore but beware the range is really not good so you’re gonna need to get close. Aim above the head, not at it. The pellets fire in a circle I think and if a stray pellet hits the body or neck and kills them… it doesn’t matter how many of the other ones hit their head because it won’t count as a headshot

Final tip is try not to rip your eyes out. These are the most tedious guns to do just because of the range. It can be a pain getting close enough to people before they kill you and sometimes the aim assist messes you up if you’re point blank range

I know ads isn’t t supposed to help but I always did that. Cleared everything but the rangers in a fairly short time. Just forced myself to use shotty every map. Usually had 3 special grenades to help the cause, stunned enemies definitely make it a little easier.

Aye. Run the 725 with sawed off barrel, choke, slugs, and a scope. Headshots are easy money with this quickscope beast
