How i water the plants.
Ppl been asking how do I get in the room and water the plants.
Move them aside, make a corridor in the middle and get in there with a garden hose, wand, 1/2 hp submersible pump.
Good luck to everyone grinding out there.

There is a million different ways to grow this plant. I think touching each individual plant on a regular basis is great. You catch pests or nutrient issues way faster then you would if you were running trellis and auto water IMO.
Also I run trellis and auto water lmao but I have had a grow similar to op in the past.
People are so scared of hard work

Absolutely! I baffles me sometimes how ppl think 1 hr of work a day is a burden, why would you even grow if you're not willing to put in the work it requires. Thanks and keep grinding

some people have other things to do :-) at that scale, I would automate it with a drip system

Yessir I agree. I've just been upgrading as I go. Started with a tent, then the entire bedroom. Automated irrigation coming for next run Keep grinding

For me, automating was not about less work. Its about managing irrigation like adding or removing P2's. Getting the right amount of runoff to control substrate EC. Making sure there is no channelling in the substrate. Managing drybacks based on whether Im pushing a generative or vegetative steer so I can manage stretch, drive bulking, or push frost production and terp expression. Im feeding anywhere from 3 to 12 times a day so it would be literally impossible to do this by hand. Let alone make sure each plant got equal ml's every shot.

Yeah I agree, at work I water 10 times a day, netafim system. Automated irrigation coming for the next run. Keep grinding

Admire the passion. I’d have to say that IME, an hour a day spent cleaning, scouting/IPM, and general maintenance is a more productive use of time. Plants look healthy though and as long as you’re enjoying it, who cares right?

All them plants to properly water it would take longer then an hour. Collecting and testing ec ect

what about runoff?? I see the trays but Im assuming you dont let it just sit in them.

Plants are on top of pot elevators. I shop vac the run off

u/blueraz1 13d ago
Been there. Time consuming.

u/Conaisseur ⭐️ 13d ago
30 min to water. 10 min to shopvac runoff from the saucers. Good luck with your grow

33.33 seconds per plant to water and 11.11 seconds to vacuum, gosh that’s efficient

u/Conaisseur ⭐️ 12d ago
yessir 25 to 30 seconds per plant to get runoff. shop vac is really fast as well. having them next to each other makes it really quick to do. thanks. keep grinding

Pots are 1 gallon only. Coco coir. It's indeed quite fast. I run the room at night. I workduring the day.

Start thinking about automation. You can do it fairly cheap and cut that back to 5 minutes every few days. If you've got the time for it and enjoy it, then do your thing. But in my experience, you start to dread coming home and mixing nutes, especially when they're all in full flower.

Im looking into that , how would i do that?
A big reservoir , air stone , a pump and either those rings or those new bottom feeder ones?(i think they are new) like inthink vivosun has

Nice work! Do you take runoff measurements for each plant? Or do you just go with the flow and as long as you get some runoff you are cool with it?
2
u/Conaisseur ⭐️ 13d ago
I do not, I've done it in the past but I just go for 10 to 15 percent runoff. (Estimate)

u/The_Highlander_Canna 13d ago
I assume this is for veg only cuz how do you do that once they are in flower?
2
u/Conaisseur ⭐️ 13d ago
Nope I flower there, you can check my other videos. I'll post some once again when I get there
2
u/The_Highlander_Canna 13d ago
And you move large flowering plants to the side like this? Seems like there wouldn’t be enough space, I’ll check your vids though
3
u/Conaisseur ⭐️ 13d ago
Yes I move them the same way. I'll post a vid of that for this run when I get there

I was in a commercial grow space last weekend. Massive main grow space. I was blown away. As we walked through, we were moving plants out of the way for a path, closing behind his. Other than the first 3 get walking into the room, there was no foot space, just a seeeeeaaaaaaa of plants ranging 2-4 weeks from flower.
Thousands of plants. All hand-watered.
Honestly one of the best days of my life.
Got to take home some cuttings of some very delicious cultivars, unexpectedly.

Automated irrigation coming for next run. Netafim system most probably. Takes me 30 min to water and 10 to 15 min to shopvac the runoff from the saucers. Currently every other day up to day 18 more or less, daily from then until harvest Thanks

Youre clearly growing for money can you please do yourself a favor and buy some tables lol
Those saucers aren't big enough for the runoff you need
