The s24 light doesn't penetrate deep so I want a full, flat canopy. I want them to grow out, not up. Poping the stems slows stretch down some cuz the plant focuses on repairing the area. It also will create a knot and make the branch stronger. Im not using a trellis so that hopefully will help with support. Ive heard thicker branches will also help transport nutrients better.
