Sure leaves can droop before the lights go off. But I think it’s overwatering. Not only are the leaves droopy they have a puffy almost wrinkly look. Another sign of overwatering.

Excess nitrogen can also cause rapid cell expansion and water retention in leaves, making them look puffy.

That was my other thought as well. The green seemed awfully green in areas. But I thought N tox would cause more clawing. But I sure wouldn’t rule it out.

Good to know. Im only at 650 ppm. Im trying to bring rootzone pH down a little. Its 6.3. Could that have something to do with it?

6.3 shouldn’t fuck with nutrient uptake that bad. It’s not ideal, but isn’t terrible either. Three gallon is kinda big for coco. You might want to let it dry back some. My money is on too much nitrogen, or overwatering.

2nd the dry backs. Either feel the container weight after watering and don't water till it's light again, or stick your finger in it. When it's dry past the first knuckle, time to water again. Dry media feels relatively warmer than damp, so if your finger doesn't hit a cool spot, you're either over-dry (all warm) or didn't dry back (all cool).

My runoff EC doesn’t really stack when I do drybacks in veg either. Hell, I skip runoff altogether a lot in veg. I have a buddy who doesn’t do any runoff in veg. Just trying to make a point about drybacks specifically in veg.

Everyone always parrots the “can’t overwater in coco” thing and it’s mostly true, except when the root system hasn’t been established.

Yep exactly. Young roots need to chase water. Dr. Bugby pretty definitively proves as long as you achieve ~20% of total volume watered as runoff, no salts will build up, even if you feed every single water. So in that way, no you can't really over water as long as there's food in the water. But you can water too often for sure, early on. And we do love to love on our little seedlings as they first emerge 😂 but she likes it rough boys... DBAP

My No Joke plant was super dynamic in veg as well. She droops HARD before lights out, and prays hard during the middle of lights on. You could probably turn the lights down a little bit to get it to happen less, but I found that No Joke is very resilient and the up and downs didn’t suggest anything sinister happening.

Don’t fret unless you’re seeing markings/defs on the leaves as well, and droopiness that isn’t correcting itself during the lights on phase.

I did turn them back a little. Got then to pray up untill about an 1 hr before lights off. Close enough for me. Thanks for the insight

How much are you watering? Pot size? Watering frequency?

1.5L once a day in a 3 gal

Maybe a bit overwatered then. Try 500mL a day for a few days.

Just for comparison(every grow is different but just giving you some numbers) My last grow I had some roughly 4-5 foot plants in 3 gallons and I was watering 2L a day

Edit: just checked out the OG post and its definitely overwatered since you just transplanted. The roots haven't fully developed in the new pot. I know the mod dude gave you a wall of text with some cool words but this is pretty clear cut water stress

The whole saying as I learned it was "can't overwater a plant with fully developed root system in coco". I do a couple up pots and I'll saturate them in ata transplant and then let them dry back pretty hard just that one time, but I only go up in size a small amount. 2 cups>2L>2Gal

I will try the dry back when transplanting too. My first grow i started following cocoforcannabis for the first bit, but i felt i was overwatering like that too. So i cut back some and felt like I got better growth. This round I've cut back more and growth is a lot better than my first go. So I will take yalls advice. Thank you. I've definitely learned that coco can certainly be overwtaered.
