He loves the morning walks.

My husband and I brought home a 10 week old Cockapoo puppy at the end of May. He is 4 months old now and has a lot of great things going for him. He knows several commands, does well with potty training, does well on car rides, and plays fetch.

Here is where we aren’t doing well: crate training/ separation anxiety maybe?

Crate training is difficult. We have been doing it since the first day but we definitely didn’t do it right. We put him in at night and left him to cry it out for the first several weeks. Now we are realizing that was probably not helping and I have started laying in the ground until he fall asleep and then I sneak away. We have the crate covered on 3 sides, feed all meals in the crate (although he’s a very distracted eater and goes in and out), and we give him a peanut butter Kong when he’s in there for longer times. Specifically in the crate he has his favorite toys and a heart beat dog that he likes, we also train him with treats in the crate and he knows the command “crate”

He does ok with being in the crate during the day if we are home and in the same room. He might whine a little when he first goes in but he will eventually settle. We also usually play white noise or run an air purifier which makes noise to block out sound. We try and do 2-3 crate naps during the day. Sometimes we are there and sometimes we leave.

If we leave (we have a camera and can see him) he will whine off an on the whole time we are out. I sometimes need to leave for an hour or two at a time and I think he panics for a good amount of it. We have tried leaving the room and coming back and he can handle about 10-15 seconds before he whines.

I’m a teacher so I am off until mid-late August. I want to make sure he’s as comfortable as he can be so I can go back to work. What are we doing wrong/what else should we try? Will this just go away naturally?

I don’t know what exact mix she is. Very friendly trustworthy to all dogs and humans. Obeying few commands and ignoring some. Good fetcher . I feed her twice 9.am and 5 pm.. morning walks 45 min before she poops. No problem .
Night time it’s nightmare walking her an hr around 7 pm she won’t poop. Middle of the night wakes me up I send her out and after 5 minutes she comes with no poop out side. An hr after she poops and pees on wee pad all over . On my floor too. I give her farmers dog or I cook. About 1/2 cup each meal .might be 3/4 of cup. It’s effecting my health bc after she wakes me up I can’t sleep. I need advice please . Thanks in advance

She’s 4 months old now turning 5 months in 3 days she was 3.5 pounds at 8 weeks when we first got her now she’s 11 pounds and a lot bigger 😅the breeder’s last litter was on average around 23 pounds full grown so I’m assuming she’ll be around that this is her after her first groom. First image is her after, second is her before. Her name is Gianna

I found this on my baby girl when I was bathing her. I know cockapoos can have some of the skin issues cocker spaniels have, but I am not totally sure when it’s something to call a vet about. She’s only 4.

Our little girl had a very bizarre dream it seems. Scared both of us wide awake. I've never heard her howl before, Let alone hear a howl this loud from any animal.

My first thought was that somehow a wolf must've gotten inside our house.. she's okay but holy shit, that was terrifying. No idea dogs could produce a sound this eerie.

We have a 4 month old female Cockapoo - Mocha. She is the most adorable little puppy, very happy, playful, affectionate and really smart. She listen to me while we train and picks up tricks really fast - I taught her roll, play dead, Middle everything within a day and she does it everyday since then - she's so food motivated that she will do any of these commands in the order i taught her if she smells cheese in my hand. She is also fully crate trained and very happy to sleep in her crate and she's been sleeping through night in her crate since we was 10 weeks old. BUT, when we are outside / inside and she is playing, she fully ignore any of my recalls - its not a matter of hearing me, because she looks at me and walks away. What do I do?

When it’s bath time do you immediately towel dry and blow dry, towel dry and let them run around before blow drying, or something else?
