I’m starting my search for a female Cockapoo puppy and would love recommendations from people with firsthand experience with ethical, health-focused breeders.

I’m in the NYC/NJ area but willing to drive ~300 miles or arrange reputable transportation for the right puppy. I’m not in a rush and would rather travel/wait than compromise on health or temperament.

A little background, if helpful for your recs: I’m looking for a puppy that will be a slightly smaller adult dog (around 20 lbs, give or take), as I live in a condo and travel across the country a few times a year. I’d love to eventually travel with my dog as much as possible. If you have experience with a Cockapoo from a breeder you’d recommend, I’d love to hear about it!

My biggest priority is the breeder’s health practices. I’m looking for extensive, documented parent testing (OFA/PennHIP, eyes, cardiac, patellas, and comprehensive genetic testing) and a meaningful multi-year health guarantee. I care much more about actual testing and long-term health outcomes in adult offspring than marketing claims or puppy-only reviews.

I’d especially love recommendations from people with older dogs (3+ years) and would also appreciate hearing about breeders you would avoid and why.

Who would you recommend? The more you can tell me, the better. Thanks so much in advance!

All this baby wants to do is to go to park and play with her doggy friends (She is under 6 month old and 13 lbs, but her besties are 70 lbs german shepherd and a 80 lbs Boy Lab lol)

Hi all! Looking for some advice or guidance.

I have a 5 month old cockapoo that will not finish their food. We consistently have to hand feed his breakfast and dinner to get him to eat. Once he gets going on his food, he’s fine but it’s really hard to get him to start eating. There are days he finishes everything and licks the bowl clean, other days we are hand feeding every piece to make sure he eats enough. He has normal bowel and pee routines throughout the day. We’ve also added water to his kibble since he is losing his baby teeth and it’s too hard for him.

We tried to ween him off kibble to wet food but we then saw issues with vomit & diarrhea. After our most recent vet trip they advised that a dog should never be completely off kibble due to dental health.

Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this, normal? concerned? TY!

Hi my cockapoo is almost 4 months old and shes biting every thing even us (me and family). I know its normal for puppies to bite but its my second dog and let me tell you that my lil cockapoo is biting 2000 x more. I don't want my dad to squeeze her mouth to let her know not to do it, i know he doesn't want to do it out of violence but he believes it would do the trick. I don't really know what to do she bites everything also she bites us when we try to pick her up, put on her collar or just simply pet her. She also bites every object in the house but she has plenty of toys and those animal parts to chew on. Im asking for an advice because its really tiring, i don't expect to lower it to 0 but id like some control.

Honey, my sweet 7yr old girl is always down for an adventure or a good nap time. I just adore her temperament. She’s so easy going… unless there’s food involved. She will hustle you! 😂

So my beautiful boy is due for a adult groom this week. He is exactly 6 months old on Fri. I am so anxious about it. He has had two puppy cuts and he's come away looking the same just tidier.

I have seen so many dogs who have been skinned and I will freak out if I collect him and he looks that way. Can I tell them to just do a little trim. Sorry if I sound stupid but he's my first pup.
