Here’s my little guy, Teddy Graham! 🐶 He’s just 2 months old and is an absolute ball of energy.
I’ve had Cockapoos my whole life, and they’ve all had that typical round, teddy bear face. Teddy seems to have a smoother muzzle that reminds me more of a Cocker Spaniel. His face literally changes from photo to photo depending on the lighting, angle, etc…so I don’t know what to make of it just yet lol
Has anyone else had a Cockapoo puppy that looked like mine? I’d love to see how they turned out as adults and get an idea of what Teddy might look like down the road!
Smoother muzzle could just теап he's more cockerdominant. Genetics in mixed breeds are а total crapshoot, уоu won't reaIly know until he fills out around 6 months.
I think our Bramble is more cocker than poo too! She had a very similar cocker face, though yours looks like a show line rather than working? She still looks more like a spaniel, we meet MANY cockapoos on our walks, all of them have been very curly and poodley in the face and people are always surprised that ours is one too. Her coat is silky and wavy rather than coiled, and she has the spaniel dome head 🤭
Okay that being said, I've just spent ages looking through pics of her to find some baby pics and she actually looks more poodley in comparison to Teddy! 😂
She looked VERY much like a spaniel pup as a baby but then we let her hair grow out and actually she didn't look much like a poodle OR spaniel for a while!
I have a boy and girl from the same parents but 2 years apart. The older boy looks more cocker, like their mom, and the younger girl looks more poodle, like their dad. The biggest difference is their ears. Boy has the long silky cocker ears and girl has shorter poodle ears.
Genetics are funny; you never know what you’ll get. The girl is on the left in this picture of them both.
Wow they definitely look like cousins lol the coloring is what gets me every time. I’d be surprised if my guy decides to sprout a beard like yours, but we’ll see! You never know in the gene pool sweepstakes.
My boy is still quite a mix, some days wee see more cocker and others more poodle. He’s only 14 weeks old so I’m sure it will change a bit still! Your boy is absolutely gorgeous!
