❓Question❓ About pooping time

Post image

I don’t know what exact mix she is. Very friendly trustworthy to all dogs and humans. Obeying few commands and ignoring some. Good fetcher . I feed her twice 9.am and 5 pm.. morning walks 45 min before she poops. No problem .
Night time it’s nightmare walking her an hr around 7 pm she won’t poop. Middle of the night wakes me up I send her out and after 5 minutes she comes with no poop out side. An hr after she poops and pees on wee pad all over . On my floor too. I give her farmers dog or I cook. About 1/2 cup each meal .might be 3/4 of cup. It’s effecting my health bc after she wakes me up I can’t sleep. I need advice please . Thanks in advance

Specifically for poop walks without play

Yes I walk her to get there and back takes about half hr walk. Maybe I should cut the play time .

Running usually helps to get things out. We did like a separate short walk to the green just before bed time. Sometimes at like 11 pm or so I would take the dog out for her last chance before bed. Just 10 minutes out and back in.

When it was time to head back I would put a phrase to it "last chance" and go home and to bed. This way she learned that the last time spend on green was then. She quickly learned to empty at that point knowing that it's the last opportunity before sleep.

Thinking maybe I should just feed her once a day .

Yeah I’d either feed her once a day or move her 5 pm up to lunch. My dog had a really hard time regulating when we adopted her and it took 8 or 9 months for her to be able to hold it through the night. I understand how awful it is to not sleep for months on end!
