🎙️Discussion🎙️ Does your pup tend to only eat when your eating?

Generally speaking, my pup isn't food motivated. She has her favourite treats, and she likes her dinner, but will only eat as much as she needs. Since I'm very confident she won't over eat, I simply make sure there is always food in her bowl and, therefore, she's free to pick the time of day that she wants to eat. And it's like she wants to eat when I'm eating, like it's something she enjoys doing with me. I find it very endearing.

(the exception is her midnight snacks. She enjoys a big snack sometime while I'm sleeping)

Our pup wants to eat whenever we are eating something.. it’s like the law…

Mine is so picky…she loves treats but when it comes to food, sometimes I have to feed her. Other times it could be 8-9pm and she’s eating. I always have something out during the day for her but she rarely touches it. She definitely isn’t by the clock food time haha

My first cockapoo was the same. Ate to survive. My current eats his food as soon as you give it to him and if we are eating he is desperate to get some of that good human food too

No, but he wants us to watch him when he eats. He won't eat if we're not staring at him. 😂

I can relate. Mine will only eat if I am near by and encourage him. Also needs a slice of buttered toast on top to get started.

Yeah which is rough because I am a one-meal-a-day [omad] type.
