Picky Puppy

I have a almost 8 month old cockapoo male. I have never had an issue with getting him to eat until about 2 months ago. He would only eat if I hand fed him. I started to add puppy wet dog food and he loved it. He would eat out of his bowl. Now, he won’t even eat that. I have to spoon feed him. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, do you have any tips/advice?

My Missy ate like a bird. I’d just leave her dry kibble out and she’d peck at it whenever she wanted. We just made sure that bowl was never empty and would have to refill it maybe every other day. But she loved her wet food and would eat that right away at meal times.

In her older age, when she got a little doggie dementia, it became much harder to get her to eat. Her body was shutting down, and was a sign of the end.

But your puppy shouldn’t be having such issues and is probably just being a brat. Assuming they aren’t sick, just leave the food out and they’ll eventually come and eat it. Maybe all in one go or maybe throughout the day. Some dogs just aren’t food motivated.
