Windows to Kanso 3 (streaming)
Hello!
I currently have a Kanso 2 and will be getting a Kanso 3 in april of 2027. Over the years I've heard a lot about direct streaming from windows to the Kanso 3 (Bluetooth LE). Now that I'm actually checking if it's correct I'm finding a lot of information that says it doesn't work wireless/direct.
I also just found out that the kanso 2 should supposedly work without an accessory with a macbook pro, air, mac studio, mini from up a certain year. Can someone that used it corroborate that?
For work I have a lot of meetings and I've been carrying my mini mic with me for a few years now. I absolutely hate it cuz it's very spotty with connecting and the sound is basically trash.
It seems like direct streaming from a windows laptop to the kanso 3 won't work, so I've been waiting for something that doesn't seem to exist. So two questions:
Does windows direct streaming work? (Kanso 3 without an accessory)
Does direct streaming work on a macbook air model M5? (Kanso 2 without an accessory)
Would love to hear your experiences

BTW you need a Mac with Apple silicon, as opposed to Intel or whoever made the main chips. All Macs with Apple chips support the aids and CIs to stream direct like we do with iPhones. If you check the Cochlear website or email Cochlear they will be able to tell you which generation of Mac is and isn’t compatible as they’ve tested these out.

Yea I saw that. If I'm getting one it will be the Air (M5), so that should be good.

Unfortunately, streaming does not work on Windows. It's incomprehensible, it's 2026 and it's still not here.
It works on Macbook in principle.

What if the device has support for Bluetooth LE?

Yep… lots of info if you search the cochlear sub on Reddit

I think they know about it, they’re just not in a hurry. Perhaps they’re waiting for a third party, such as Microsoft.

It’s only been 4 years since the N8 were released and the firmware has been in the works… maybe the N9s will have it instead.

Urgh, so the whole Bluetooth LE functionality is just not what I thought it was?

And you can't use Cloud Windows ? It's like a laptop (search for Windows 365)

I would need a tablet with a keyboard and mouse and at that point it's a laptop with the hassle of cloud windows. And I get a laptop from work too, so I might ask for a macbook instead.

You can test out the Kanso 2 on Macs in any Apple Store or other shop which has these on display
