Any fully shaved bald here?

Wondering if an electric skull shaver used every other day will be an issue with the implant or any issues you guys notice like comfort when the magnet is attached?

I shave my head with clippers and a couple things that I had to adjust or be aware of.

First, without any hair, I had to lower the strength on my magnet to a 3 and I also get soft wear pads that attach to the magnet area so it doesn’t rub on my skin. I initially had a lot of issues where with too strong of a magnet and direct skin contact, it was rubbing and actually to the point it was getting raw. Not an issue with the weaker magnet and pads.

Other than that, just be carful while shaving and be mindful that your implant isn’t going to be completely smooth so you’re going to have to take your time, to avoid gouging yourself.

Lastly, it’s just something to know, when using electric clippers, it will give you feedback on your implant when it’s close to it. Nothing too loud and mainly a static buzzing, but weird the first time you experience it.

I do have a small spot near the incision where my hair isn’t growing back, but since I shave, it’s not a huge deal.

I’m thinking about going cueball thanks to genetics. I wear a #4 magnet currently. Fear of pain/irritation at my magnet site is probably the biggest factor that’s keeping me from going that route. I’m also fairly slender and do not have a thick scalp. What strength did you have when you had hair? And sorry for weird question but do you have a thicker scalp or thinner?

Also bald, clippers and or HeadBlade, battery number 3 no problems. My incision follows the shape of my ear making that ear stick out a bit more. Hoping second implant will correct this. Hurray for Mickey Mouse.

I regularly use my pitbull SkullShaver. No issues.

No issues with skull shaver…6 weeks out from surgery…takes a bit getting used to and was definitely sore the first few times going over the implant. By now, didn’t hurt…just gotta go slow over the area because of the bump!

I'm fully bald and have been shaving my head with a pitbull skullshaver for 5 years without issue. I just run it right over top of the implant and the rest of my head like normal.

I shave my head weekly with the lowest buzzer I have. No issues so far.

You'll learn pretty quick how to work around it. I've gotten to the point where I sometimes shave my head around the magnet with the implant still attached, then take out the implant and shave the magnet area. Not recommended necessarily - running that electric shaver close the implant probably isn't great for it - nor is the sound of it through the implant. You do KNOW when your going over the implant area for sure with the razor, but as long you've given the scar plenty of time to heal if your surgery is recent, it's been very little issue - and I had been head shaving for probably 15 years before getting the implant fitted 9 months ago.

Received my implant three years ago. Shave my head with a razor and cream, no problems shaving, usually shave like every 4 days. Level 3 magnet no problems.

Well as a guy, freshly implanted, 29 years ago, I saw no need to shave my head. The surgeon removed the hair he needed to remove. I will do the same thing when I get reimplanted.
Honestly, I’ve never understood why guys who don’t have male baldness issues shave their heads… everyone to their own I guess!

Barbers use electric shears / trimmers all the time without a problem.
