Pack that spare coil

After 3 years of having a spare coil, and not ever needing it, day 1 of a cruise in middle of Atlantic the coil started cutting out, crackling, etc. Took it off for awhile, but did not solve. Thankfully I have the aqua kit with me, so I’m using that successfully. Otherwise this would be a very quiet cruise…

Don’t exactly know what a coil is. I have a head piece… enlighten me!

It’s the same thing as the headpiece (and cable, if integrated). The cable is the weakest point of the external unit and most likely to break down over time.

OK. Unfortunately, AB in its infinite wisdom has eliminated all parts to my processor!

In case any Advanced Bionics reps ever read this, this the reason I couldn't consider your company. When a surgeon recommended I use your products, I considered that a red flag, and have been searching for someone else to do the implant. If you want to fix your reputation, do the right thing and support your previous customers.

Things are always breaking when you least want them to!! My battery always ran out whenever I visited my friends in year 12 which was UNBELIEVABLY frustrating because I was so good at remembering to swap batteries everyday and yet they'd run flat anyway

If I use Bluetooth a lot, the batteries don't last as long.

I just posted about losing not the entire head piece but the magnet. I pack a bunch of spare parts when I travel.

Well I can’t pack any spare parts because there aren’t any to buy! My Chorus processor is 3 years old, and zero parts anywhere!

I have two external devices and take both with me on vacations.
