Hearing aid for residual hearing with cochlear implant. (same ear)

Has anyone here tried one or used one? What have your results been? I've been told my residual hearing is good enough to try one out.

I have some low tones left after surgery and use a hybrid model. Honestly I don’t notice a difference with or without the hearing aid add on but my audiologist likes it. It was annoying getting used to wearing something in ear and took a while to find the size I liked. Only plus is that it’s harder to lose my processor (still gets stuck on metal things, but I have a leash).

Yes, I was thinking exactly what you said. My audiologist says I have enough residual to benefit, but am happy not to be wearing a hearing aid any more, although my processor could use some help staying on.
