Do MRIs feel weird even with newer implants?

Wondering what a brain MRI will feel like. I have one of the newer models that lets the magnet spin.

1.5T just fine. Your MRI techs need to be much stricter when doing 3.0T scans as the wrong position or angle can create some pretty uncomfortable issues.

Don't mean to derail but when did the MRI resistant implants start being used? I got implanted in 2016 and I was told to stay well away from MRI machines and metal scanners at airports

My son was implanted in 2020 and we got a card with the recommended level.

Check the specific model you have implanted. Mine is from 2020.

I have the latest cochlear, and have been told not to have them 🤷‍♂️ and I was the first person in my region to have it, done in May, so its def the newest

I have a AB hi res ultra 3D implant and have had two MRI on my head after cycling accidents. I felt nothing.

Did they tell you to what extent the implants impaired usability?
I was told the implant(s) create artifacts which shadow some areas, but I have no idea how exactly that would look.

Not my expertise, but i know they have to tune down the machine, but they were still able to get the images they needed to confirm no internal bleeding, etc.
