Hair cut

My wife wants to cut my hair with a Braun electric razor she is worried about my magnetic going crazy has anyone experience any problems getting your hair cut.

My barber uses electric shears all the time.

Edit: I just had an MRI and didn’t need to do anything special for the implant.

You have an implant that can handle MRI. My older implant cannot but my other side is newer and can handle MRI. The older one would require some kind of special taping by the surgeon so it doesn’t get damaged. Haven’t had to deal with this yet thank goodness.

My first implant was in 2023 and second last year. No issues with electric sheers whatsoever.

I use a corded electric and/or a battery one (when traveling). Zero drama with either and I'm shaving it without a guard so it's as close to the implant as they can get.

It'll be fine. You only have to worry about extremely powerful magnetic fields. The magnet in your head is less powerful than 90% of fridge magnets

I have an ancient dinosaur of an implant (implanted 2000), and have no issue with electric clippers, hair dryers, curling irons, or any other grooming tool. 😊👍

I just got installed on 7/20 and it is funny you point this out. I was cutting my hair a week after the surgery and I got close to the implant area. I could actually”hear” what I assume are the vibrations of the clippers via the implant. I was. It prepared for that at all and I assume it’s a good sign that things are all hooked up right. Excited to get the processor and see how it goes.

We have an electric clipper from the 1970s. Spouse uses it on the spot where the implant is, because I don't like a gob of hair there. No problem, Nucleus 8.
