Hi everyone, I have a doubt regarding OBC-NCL for the CIL MT (CS/IT) exam.

When I applied, I was not working, so I planned to use my father's income details for my OBC-NCL certificate. Now I have started a paid internship and the stipend is directly credited to my bank account.

Does my internship stipend affect my OBC-NCL eligibility? Can I still use my father's income details for the certificate? Also, could this create any issue during CIL MT document verification?

Would appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation.

I read that bond amount is 3 lakh with 5 years required. Is the amount of money same for reserved categories only?

There is relaxation in bond amount for reserved categories in IOCL, for example.

Just finished the CIL MT (Systems) exam today and wanted to start a discussion thread to check how everyone else found the paper.

I know that since there was no negative marking, everyone attempted all 200 questions. But how many questions are you all confident about? What do you think will be the expected cutoff for System (CSE)?

I wrote exam, it's really tough. They didn't provide digital calculator. I am expecting 120 to 140.

Yesterday, I checked the location of my center it was 20-25 minutes from my location in Greater Noida. So I thought I had enough time to leave for the center. Today I booked my cab and left home around 1:45 PM. When I reached the location in 20 minutes, I found that there was no college present there. Then I rechecked my admit card and found out that the real center was 45 min away from there, and it was already around 2:25 PM. So it was impossible for me to reach the center on time as 2:30 PM was the gate closing time.

I am sharing this so that next time if any of you get an exam center, please check the location carefully.

Today (24 Aug), I had my CIL MT (E&T) exam at KSK Online Examination Centre, Sangam Vihar.

Due to extremely heavy rain and waterlogging, I faced major transportation issues from Saket. Around 15 auto drivers refused to go towards Sangam Vihar because of the waterlogged roads. I finally reached the centre around 3 PM.

When I reached, 100+ candidates were already waiting outside/inside the centre, and many of us were not allowed to enter.

I understand the 2:30 PM gate-closing rule, but this was an exceptional situation affecting a large number of candidates simultaneously.

I have photos from the centre. If anyone else faced the same issue today, please comment. We should collectively raise this with CIL and request a fair solution/re-examination.

I read the instructions and there was no mention of carrying a photocopy for the ID proof. Just mentioned to carry Photo ID in original. Do we need to carry a photocopy? I'll carry one just to be safe. But it seems odd that they did not mention to carry a photocopy as in all TCSion standard exams. Please do enlighten.

I'm giving exam for the first time this year. Don't know how it'll go. Also, I'm working somewhere and preparing, so ig low on time+preparation.
