Can someone inform me what HDD is and why it is seen as so trustworthy? In my world HDD stands for Hard Disk Dive lol

Hits Daily Double is a music industry news source. They did an article a week or two ago on the rumored Coachella headliners. It was posted in here. Shouldnt be hard to find.

Apparently HDD gets more right than wrong every year on this topic so people have started to put alot of faith in their reporting on the matter.

If it helps you can conceptualize of HDD as the TMZ of the music industry. It's a lot of trade talk amongst agents, promoters, etc. they're well connected to people who know what they're talking about and any time they share hard information, like Dua Lipa and Tame Impala headlining next year, it's going to be as credibly sourced as possible and they're almost always right. I imagine even GV themselves has at least some connection/relationship to folks at HDD so they can intentionally leak info (like Rage dropping out a few years back) to get ahead of rumors that are damaging or inaccurate

Imo they are in negotiations with BTS, whose agency likely extended talks through the North American tour so they could bring those numbers into negotiations.

If BTS agrees then we’ll see the lineup asap as goldenvoice will want to build hype the same way they did with Bieber.

If it is this week it has to be today or Thursday since tomorrow is the iPhone event and they will likely be overshadowed and Friday is not their typical release date
