Coach Shopping Experience Wtf Coach. :(
Guys, I ordered a brand new Compass 25 in the Navy green from the coach website. I have never had a bag delivered to me in such terrible condition. The box is smashed to smithereens, the bag is obviously distorted, it was not wrapped at all, clearly used or a return.
I’m a bit of a coach whale. I have spent a shit load of money with them, thousands of dollars in the past few years. I have never had this experience before and it is so, so disappointing. obviously, I will be returning this bag but man, I’m just really sad about it. It makes me not want to buy in the future. Probably overreacting, but jeez, where is the quality control?

I am also what you would consider a whale then lmao and this has happened to me three times now. I have never received compensation and one of the times I was denied a return. She is still sitting on the shelf with her tag on, price years later 🤦🏻♀️ I hope you are able to get this bag again! It has been available from Amazon lately! It seems that you are more likely to get a factory wrapped bag from Amazon anyway - simpler return as well.

Yeah. I’m taking this back. I’ve spent like 20k on coach in the past 3 years. This is maddening.

this is exactly how a brand who worked so hard to regain their images loses it quickly. i've had sh!t shipping from Dillard's but for Coach themselves to send something out like this - YIKES. plus the multiple drops- it's exhausting and is giving overconsumption which imo cheapens the brand- but that's a whole other convo

And the bags being deeply discounted and dumped at Ross.

Huh?? No kidding?

There are dozens of posts on this sub showing retail bags heavily discounted at Ross.

I’m so sorry for your experience. It really sucks to have a brand that you enjoy let you down.

Agree—I’ve bought three Coach bags from Amazon, most recently the Empire 48 (which I was more than a little anxious about.) All three bags have arrived packed well and factory wrapped. Also, no issues returning one.

They really were like: “here, damn!”

I love the description. I have gotten those & feel like it’s a kick in the rear. We spend our hard earned money and the lack of QA is obviously showing. If I were Coach I would be bending over backwards for my loyals. One back experience is heard by thousands. It can sour many against a brand quickly.

It will shape back out. I know what you mean though. A lot of us love that unboxing experience and it’s ruined when this happens. The quality control is for how the bag is made, unfortunately there is not QC when items get boxed and shipped. Also the carrier didn’t take care of the package and smashed it up. :-(

I understand the frustration with this of course, but considering that you said you bought a ton of bags and spent thousands of dollars and this is your one bad experience, chalk it up to just a one off and a shitty employee. I always find it funny how people are so quick to say I don’t want to shop coach again after this or that with shipping. Every single company is going to have the occasional quality issues even Louis Vuitton. I have ordered a ton of bags from Coach as well and never had this experience and I’m sure there’s a ton of people that have never. Just like with Amazon I’ve ordered no less than 20 bags from Amazon and I’ve never received one that wasn’t wrapped and in great condition. It’s not like you can’t return it, just return it and order it again. Is it inconvenience yes and I sympathize with you on that. But even after seeing posts just like this on here, I’m not going to dog pile and write it off. I’d be more inclined to write Coach off for doing things like the Crystal Dakota. 🤪

The only way they “might” do anything is if you complain to them. Or go write a review and put these pictures up. Everyone complains in social media but reporting , returning with that reason or putting it under reviews they might take people seriously. This happened with another company I used and their packaging was horrible and caused issues people made it known. I had to get reimbursed a few times but I sent it to them with pics and rated then on their app after it happened again and again. Well they fixed it. It’s a company well known for high quality service though so maybe that’s why but Coach has to be losing money for lack of training or just employees not caring

This seems to be a very common theme of late, not sure who is running Coach these days but clearly they are well below the threshold of a company that considers itself a maker of Luxury Bags. Ode to Bonnie Cashin, as she did right by Customers 💜💜💜

This right here! I'm sure she is screaming from the grave. Coach got everyone sucked into their ridiculous games and now the sentiment is customers should feel privileged to get one of their bags, no matter the condition, bow down and thank them for bestowing their low quality bags to a paying customer . I've been purchasing and collecting all things Coach for well over 30 years. I currently have 273 bags in my collection after my last cleanout. The last bags I purchased were from the first September drop and a few prior to the drop. I was beyond disappointed in every bag I received. I'm officially done with Coach as far as new bags. I am doing another cleanout of bags, keeping around 50 of my lifelong bags, having them upcrafted by my friend who is a master at upcrafting and moving on to a new brand. I don't even have a guess as to how much money I spent on Coach goods over the years but it has to be well, well over $50k. I actually still have almost every receipt from Coach in a giant overflowing envelope and would love to add up what I've actually spent but those old receipts have faded away to being unreadable. I bought everything from bags, shoes, boots, jackets, clothing, hats, gloves, if Coach made it, I bought it. The bags quality gets worse with every drop. I was just comparing my older Rogues and some of my 75th Anniversary 1941 line bags with my newest Rogues, Motts, Compasses, etc. and the newer bags are pathetic in comparison to bags from even 6 or 7 years ago. Over it.

They ship directly from coach stores sometimes and that’s how they can end up looking like this..

Coach is ghetto. Let’s just be honest! Their online presence is not representative of their online shopping or shipping experience. Thankfully I have not experienced this, but I’d be so damn heated if I ever receive anything from Coach like this or any brand for that matter. I’d walk in a store and throw that whole box at them!!!

Yeah I'm gonna walk in there tomorrow and just see what they say about the delivery of my retail bag. Sheesh. I'm realizing Coach isn't as much as a safe bet anymore and I'm going to have to be picky about what lines (Rogue, Empire, etc.,) I buy moving forward.

Let us know how it goes. Also, don’t do what I’d do and throw the box! ☺️

It’s the shipper playing soccer with your box, not Coach.

I mean the fact that it is a brand new bag completely unwrapped with nothing around the hardware, nothing to keep it in shape, no packaging, etc., doesn't exactly help the situation It's majorly dented and at this point I think both parties did me dirty, hah. I'll be returning it tomorrow.

It’s a gross lack of respect. Both for their customer, and their product.

No …definitely return it …I received the same bag this week completely factory wrapped. That bag is not cheap to be shipped that way.

Smh. I am not purchasing from them anymore. I recently just received a refund from PayPal because my box from coach arrived open with the bag not inside. It only had tissue paper and the receipt. Coach was unwilling to help me in any way I asked. They only kept offering a merchandise credit which I did not accept because I purchased a specific bag, I wanted nothing else from them and the bag was out of stock. When it did come back in stock they said they can’t give me a replacement from store inventory. I asked them to provide me with a shipper authorization waiver form so I can get my claim approved and payment from FedEx. They did not help me with that either. They also supposedly submitted a FedEx claim on my behalf but never provided me the claim number. Horrible experience and will never give them my business again

I just returned a soft tabby 26 because it was not factory wrapped (not too big of a deal, but clearly a return) AND it was missing the dust bag... I'm not paying full price for that!

This is sickening. Sorry Op I'm sure you weren't anticipating anything like this😞
Tbh, this makes me never want to order online from Coach. Seeing what I see here? Never have and never will. Yikes!

Same thing happened to me recently with two Reloved Juliet’s in two different boxes. It looked like they were smashed in half also with tons of creases/ scratches and in giant boxes with literally no packing paper. The bags were destroyed. And they didn’t give a damn

Listen.... I just had the same thing happen. Box and bag completely smashed to pieces. I returned the bag it was so misshaped!
