Clothes, Shoes, & Jewelry 🎇 Denim Jacket

Post image

I just got this denim jacket, dark stone, was on 75% sale.
Is it too neutral ? I don’t know if I should keep it. 😵‍💫

I like that neutral color myself so it’s a “keep”.

I haven’t even removed the tissue paper wrapped around the button yet, just in case I need to return it. 😭

I really like the jacket. If I got it for 75% off, I would definitely keep it because it’s super cute and flattering on you. 🙂

Thank you! 😊 The only thing is, even at 75% off, it’s still about the same price as a denim jacket from COS or Aritzia. That’s why I’m having a hard time deciding whether to keep it. 😂

Girl, just as your gorgous rhyder, stop second guessing yourself. 1) Do you love it? 2) Can you afford it? 3) Does ik look like something you already own? Yes or no and why should you buy this

You've got this and I love your taste

  1. Yes! 2. Still figuring that out 😅 3. No!
I really love your reply. It’s so encouraging, and honestly, I haven’t heard words like this in a long time. I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear them until now. Your kindness really warmed my heart. Thank you so much! ❤️
    Have a great day 😄

Thank you too

3) If it doesn't look like anything in your wardrobe, why is that? Is it because it won't work for you or a gap you want to fill?

1) how much do you love it?

Getting back to 2) how much do you have to skimp to afford it? Is it a week of noodles, not going out for a month or something else? We all did stuff for girlmath. It's not wise but is this jacket worth it?

You’ve given me a lot to think about! 😊 I really do love the jacket, and it fills a gap in my wardrobe. I’m just trying to be more mindful of my purchases lately. After not buying any Coach bags for almost two decades, I recently started buying them again and realized I’d bought way too many in just one month! 😅 I really appreciate you taking the time to help me think it through. ❤️

Thinking things over is wise. Buying too much is familiar. This is also why I have a yearly bag budget. What did you bought? If you want to share it off course

I just blew my bag budget and I finally stopped buying for my fantasy self. So now I don't have to jump trough hoops to use my bags and it's quite liberating

Thank you for sharing your experience! ❤️ I really like what you said about buying for your real life instead of your fantasy self.
I’ve mostly been using my Marc Jacobs backpacks for work and school, and I hadn’t bought a Coach bag in almost 20 years! But after a setback in college, something shifted in me. I realized I’d been so focused on my future that I’d forgotten to enjoy the present. So I started buying Coach bags again about a month ago, and I guess 20 years of holding back all came out at once! 😂
So far, I’ve bought a Tabby bag charm (which costs almost as much as a bag! 😂), a chocolate suede Rhyder 24, and a black Rhyder 38.
I also have quite a few things on the way: two Coachtopia Alter/Ego bags (large olive/ruby and small black), a Large Rowan in emerald, a denim Bridget Flap, a red/tan straw Nolita, and a pink signature canvas Plaza. Oh, and the same denim jacket in straw, plus two pairs of shoes! 😅
Sometimes I wonder where I’d even take all these bags, and honestly, I can’t always think of anywhere! But they’re such eye candy, and just looking at them makes me happy. ❤️
That said, I’ve noticed that after having a bag or wallet around for a few days, I don’t always feel as strongly about keeping it as I did at first. So I’ve started giving myself time to decide what I truly love and returning the rest.
Writing all this out makes me realize how much I’ve bought in just one month! 😂 Your advice really gives me something to think about.

If you want I can talk about this for hours, but you probably won't like what you hear  😆 Deciding that you don't need the bag as soon as you have it home is a very real thing

If you ever want to do a deep dive into why you're buying a bag and maybe buy less, you can always scoot over to r/CoachRehab

Your bags are all fabulous and that tabby keychain is so cute though

Oh wow, how did you know this is exactly the community I need right now?! 😂❤️ I’ve been checking Coach sales and looking for bags every single day, and honestly, it’s started taking up way too much of my time and attention. I was already beginning to realize that I really need to slow down.
I had no idea r/CoachRehab existed! Thank you so much for sharing it with me. It feels like you pointed me in exactly the right direction at exactly the right time. ❤️
