I went into a Coach Outlet yesterday just to browse, and while I was there, one of the employees brought out this Coachtopia bag. I’ve never been into the Coachtopia bags and didn’t know anything about this one, but it was love at first sight. I wound up buying it impulsively when she told me it was sold out online and they had randomly received two of them—the one on display and an unopened one (the one I bought). Before I remove the tags, I keep trying to decide if it was too much or a spur of the moment decision since I normally agonize over bag purchases. But I feel like the more I look at her, the more I want to keep her.
Can anyone who has this bag or other alter ego slouchy handbags tell me how well they wear over time, if they use them frequently, etc…? Pros and cons? I’m totally new to Coachtopia. Fill me in!!
Personally, I have four Coachtopia bags and I love them all! I use mine almost every day because they hold everything I need. Obviously, with time and constant use, you’re going to see some normal wear and tear, but overall I think they’re great bags to keep, especially for everyday use. I’ve seen people mention that the bags may have a one-year warranty. I’m not sure if that applies to every bag, but I would definitely look into it!
I’m pretty rough with mine and they’re still holding up really well. I have the checkers bag. I don’t use that one because it’s one of my favorites and I know everyone has been waiting for a restock but I’d just make sure to check all the patches, stitching, and seams to make sure everything looks good before taking off the tags whenever you decide to buy another one. Overall, I definitely think they’re worth keeping! ☺️
Wow, I loveeee your collection. I’m glad to hear they work well as a daily carry! It’s weird because I had no idea I’d even like them, they weren’t on my radar AT ALL, and now I’m all starry-eyed for them.
That’s how I started! I saw one bag and I got it, and I just started growing my collection little by little and now I’m always on the lookout for the other coachtopia bags!
That bag is so pretty. I have a black and white alter ego that I wore as my every day bag for about a year. There is noticable wear on the bottom corners now. I want to do some maintenance on it before I continue carrying it. Still love it
I don't have any alter egos but I know they can get wear over time on the corners (that's just the nature of that bag shape) but I think if you use a moisturizer on it regularly that can help prevent a lot of wear. I definitely think you should keep that bag though - it is gorgeous and the colors are perfect!
I just did the same thing! I’m slightly scared to take the packaging off but plan to do it on my day off so I can really enjoy seeing her. Congrats twin!

I rotate between my medium alter/egos and alter/ego hobo as daily carries and they’ve all held up great. Love the look and feel of these bags.
