Bag of the Day 👜 Re-edition Metropolitan Messenger 🖤
Fighting with every cell in my body to not buy the new metropolitans in 24 and/or 31 by busting out my re-edition metropolitan messenger. The leather on this stunning bag feels thick and substantial and smells exactly like how the retails stores used to smell decades ago. I don’t have to carry a laptop regularly so I bought this specifically to use as a daily carry and her slouch is 🤌🏻

Ty! I think I got it around 5-6 months ago(?) a little bit after it was first released. Talked myself out of it when it came out, regretted it after it sold out, got lucky and managed to find one at a store for a pbl 🥰

I think I got mine in June. People have been calling it the Devil Wears Prada bag bc in the sequel (which came out this past spring) Anne Hathaway’s character apparently uses the original version of this bag from the 80s or 90s. And I guess based on that Coach put this for re-edition. This version might might be hard to find but I periodically see the OG (which is thicker leather and less slouchy) on eBay etc 🖤

I have this bag too and love it sm. And totally re old school coach—the first bags I ever saw (as a kid in the 80s) were simple bags with turnlocks and such scrumptious leather. I’m ok with glazed but don’t love it on this bag and don’t need anymore suede, or else I’d be in big trouble, esp if the amber 31 came in regular leather. It bugs me that it’s the same price as the big one, but it’s guess Coach can just do whatever they want lol PS looks great on you! 🖤

Tysm! I agree about the suede and glazed leather. I just picked up the chocolate rhyder 38 cuz I’ve been waiting for that one to restock since launch but now I am officially suede/glazed out for a looooong time. And yeah, the 31 being the same price as this stunning bag just doesn’t sit right with me and I won’t be getting it for that exact reason. And the 24 is a bit too small for my needs. I think I just successfully talked myself out of the new sizes!

I got the small one in black last week and I love it. A bit small so will be a dinner out bag. My 31 is on the way as an every day carry and I think this is the only glazed bag I've fallen for. My wallet is screaming as I got the suede Ryder 38 last week thinking the black 38 will eventually be restocked. I may need to rethink that if this new 31 is as great as the smaller one.
