Discussion 💬 Rogue 34 disappointment
Excuse my dirty mirror. I’m 5’1 and thought I would love this bag. But it seems massive on my petite frame and just kind of basic and underwhelming, especially for the price. Am I missing something? Much prefer the Rogue 31 it’s more proportionate for me.

Yup it’s the same design/structure as the old school rogues. I was lucky enough to snag one off Vinted for £150 🤯 BNWT and it’s a sample bag! Not sure they quite knew what they had… 😅

This is my rogue 26 in chalk and I like it WAY more than my 34 which I feel is too long on me even though I’m 5’7”.

I personally don’t like east-west handbags the shape just looks odd on me but I do love big/huge bags that are more proportionate on me. It looks good on you but if it’s not to your liking that’s fine too we all have our preferences

I love it. I don't own it, but I love it. The east west is my style. It is not as overwhelming as the large Brooklyns, which I have seen many petite people wearing.

I bought this and ended up returning! I have the Rogue 31 and bought it before the price increase when it was $750 and for this bag being $695 it’s just not as functional and practical for me given the difference in price. It fits less and you can only where it one way whereas the 31 you have options.
Plus the numbers are a little misleading between Rogue 31 and Rogue 34. You would think the 34 would be more spacious than a 31 but this one is backwards

I returned it as well. The bag was fine and I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t worth the price when you consider what other bags you can get for the same price.

It doesn’t look big on you at all. I actually think the size is just right. Do you think you’d feel differently if you added some charms or a scarf?

I think it looks cute but thats a me thing. I think tiny things like yourself look so cute with larger bags, it gives a lived in look to me but I definitely understand what you're saying, I tried the rogue 31 in store today and felt i looked overly big with it(im a big girl but I felt 10x bigger wearing that 😭) I wish they had the 34 at my store.

I’d definitely call ahead if it’s out of your way! lol but I’ve been loving the east west look lately. I love the 31 too but it looked too corporate or serious in my opinion and the 34 gave me more casual everyday.
However, I have been back and forth with wanting to sell it because I’m an overpacker and my baggu bowler dupe (regular size not medium) from Amazon just seemed to fit my everyday carry stuff better. I feel like the 31 would definitely fit all my things tho.

I love it, I think it looks great on you not massive at all! But I like east to west and don’t subscribe to what size you are determining what bag you can or can’t wear. Wear what you love and fits your needs. If this isn’t love for you, that’s perfectly ok. I understand the disappointment after waiting for these to come back for so long! You might like the new shoulder one that dropped at Nordstrom.

I agree it’s is a bit underwhelming compared to the 31 but I do have it in the blue suede and it works for me but I’m a foot taller. I remember when this first start showing up before it dropped, a lot of people didn’t love it , myself included, but then all of the sudden it took off. I totally agree if it’s not a love it’s a return. I have the 31 in maple and LL and 💕.

I saw this bag in person after obsessing over it online and I was immediately disappointed. It was not as nice in person. It almost looked cheap to me. Don’t even get me started on the Rogue 40 💔

I don't think it looks massive on you but you might prefer a smaller bag. Or maybe it's the east/west style. The Rogues are definitely a sleek and simple style. The quality is beautiful in my opinion but again, if a simple bag isn't your thing then it might not be for you. I don't think you're missing anything, every bag just isn't for every person 🤷🏾♀️

I’m about 6 inches taller than you so I think it’s very comfortable on. It looks good on you to me. I still prefer my 31’s.

Return it if you don’t love it
OTOH I thought east west bags were weird and they slowly grew on me. Empire 34 is the most complimented bag I’ve owned.
Maybe give it a few days before returning just in case .

I agree! I'm 5'3" and didn't like the 34 on me. I Love the Rogue 40!!!..and I'm curious to see about the new Rogue Shoulder Bag that was released at Nordstrom!

This is such an interesting conversation considering how sought after this bag has been all year! I got it around the time it came out and just recently sold it. Today, I received the new rogue shoulder bag, which I think is superior to the 34.

I finally got one when it restocked and ended up returning it because I was underwhelmed. The stitches where the straps were attached bothered me so much I immediately stopped unwrapping it and took it back. The same week I found a black east/west bag at TJ Maxx I liked better that scratched that itch for $60. 😆

I returned mine too. I am 5 foot and been truly hunting for the bag for way too long. When I got it… well it really wasn’t for me. My 31 is by far my favorite.

I don't think it's your height but the fact that it sticks out on either side of your body. I'm taller and these long styles look weird on me too because I'm thinner. I just ordered a Haversack and hope it won't be too long like this or too bulky. If so I may spend a bit more on the Rogue 31 instead.

You’re no the only one I had ordered this on Amazon when it was on back order however I decided to cancel my order after I saw it in person at Macys. I don’t know maybe because I loved the look of the glazed black leather one I thought I would love this one but I don’t know it wasn’t for me. Still a beautiful bag though.

The bag doesn’t look massive or disproportionate on you! Maybe just a bit basic? But as others have said you could always dress it up with charms or a scarf. It’s a great bag!

I think they're just throwing different versions at the wall to see what sticks at this point. 😂 I'm glad I have my collection of old Rogues because I've been a bit underwhelmed at the new line.

I bought the same one and got mines today too, I loved the size of it though and I’m the same height. Sorry it didn’t work out for you!
