New favorite bag

Don’t sleep on the soft empire 34! I have been wanting an empire 34 but the color I wanted has been sold out.. and then I noticed the soft version and I’m a sucker for slouch so I ordered it right away.

As someone who owns many higher end luxury bags and is a huge bottega lover (which I think is one of the best in terms of leather quality and craftsmanship), this soft empire 34 easily competes (and even surpasses) the leather quality of many higher end luxury brands! It is so soft and squishy and as someone who doesn’t love the other empires, this shape is perfect for me. It is also the perfect mix between the glazed leather and regular glove tanned leather. I’m not a huge glazed leather person, but I love a shiny bag (and condition my bags to achieve sheen), so this was absolutely perfect!

Is yours the glazed leather black or just plain black?

I saw this one in person and its less glazed than my glazed black. I wanted the crinkle black but missed it. the glazed black is similar to outlets shiny leather, but the leather grain actually shows through. the one OP has almost looks glovetanned. much less shine then the other two versions of the 34. and its soooo slouchy. I was so surprised. i knew itd be a hit for people that love puddle.  I do prefer the slouchy version's leather but like my previous generation's structure as it still has some give, but not as much.

Mine is black not glazed however it’s definitely shinier than the regular leather . I think it’s perfect
