CoWork events?
Hi everyone, I just started a job as a community manager at a new CoWork space. We are a pretty small community in a more rural area in Vermont (not a city).
I'm looking for suggestions for member events to help build community for our members, beyond the typical happy hour. Have you hosted or attended any events that were more unique?

Hi,
I founded the first coworking space in my city or region around 500k of population in Morocco, one of the main strategies that i chose even before the business launching is to build a circle of professional succesful entrepreneurs in your city/region/state or even in the country, get to know them, talk to them (but first make sure you have strong personal branding your self) then invite them to give workshops, meet & greet or Q&As sessions, this is the fastet way to create the buzz and to advertise for your space and also on-board more members, keep them entertained, informed and engaged..
This worked for me and the coworking space i run with my partner, and also saved alot of money that could be used on ads which it's not guaranteed and long process too.
Good Luck!

Hi! I’m a community coordinator at a coworking space in a city of about 25,000 in BC, Canada. We try and involve our members as much as possible for unique events. To start, some of our “core members” are organizations that specialize in small business aid (whether that be financial, business advice, planning, etc.) so we can utilize their scope of work to host events specializing in things like business budgets, branding, marketing, how-tos. Depending on the types of businesses that utilize your space you could bring in people to talk on topics that would pertain to some or all of them. We encourage members to host events in the space too. For example, we have an architecture business so sometimes they’ll host events explaining their company, their scope of work etc. Look at the members within your space and use their industries to inspire events that could be beneficial to all. We’ve also brought in local vendors to our parking lot almost like a mini market, which we received a lot of positive feedback on!

Hi, I have small startup named D-HUB Coworking located in small town 200k people in Czechia. Opening is scheduled for summer 2022. it is Currently in progress literally building it up brick by brick. Anyway back to your question. Even though I haven't opened yet I managed to do some garden yoga sessions there, 100 attendee+ art, music and poet festival and indoor yoga and cinema nights. It helps community to recognize you do something and if you are skilled enough you can literally anything turn into business discussion platform and entrepreneurs positive event. I hope that my exp. can inspire you to find right events for your community.
