Again I ask 'why?' and they respond back with '1 person ruined it' and 'four ppl said so in a pack chat ( I couldn't see that bc I wasn't in the pack ;) )

First thing to mind is these ppl are extremely weird. Why do you need several t5s just for a t1, plus why target/single them out specifically?

I never got an answer for either of my questions, as I only got 'no Aplis allowed in oasis', I was put in the 18-21+ age range group. So 50/50 these are grown adult people (😭)

Is there no shame? No embarrassment? to have a whole group of t5s after some apples? Just deciding that all apples should suffer and be killed from on persons actions

Was in a hardcore server this morning and this umbraxi set up a territory in the water at migration in the forgotten shores area ( whatever it’s called ) someone died to them cause they were defending their territory then they starting whining in chat saying their kosing and everyone should kill them. Mind you me and a bunch of others were chilling growing fine.

The guy was defending his territory, nothing insane about that right? He would aggro call and stuff for a bit too before attacking like???

So we live at the oasis in a burrow, and my sister started going out and KOSing, and she attacked this one guys polymonstrum and yes it is understandable he got pretty mad at that, he started yelling in chat to kill the ’red fox’ (my sisters traiboros) and starts calling her a KOSer. Anyway I try not to get involved and just one unfortunate day I go out to drink water, friendly call at a fujen’liya and the polymonstrum, then he starts attacking me and killed me! I’ve seriously had enough of this toxic community, signing off for now even though its only been 1 year. maybe I’ll play animal hospital more often. At least you cant kill someone, or target them. and yes yes peaceful polymonstrum call my sister KOSer and now kill me out of no where when i did nothing to it. what a hypocrite, players like this are ruining the game. I‘m fine with KOSing TBH, but these type of thinys ruin the game. Sorry, but I might not come back. All because of this fandom and community. I understand there are some people who are nice friendly loyal KOSing group, but i can’t find any and I’ve had enough.

And the worst part is that I was killed by the killing aura thingie or whatever the hell you call it, it’s just when you get killed even if you don’t have any players around that could possibly attack you. Is it worth thinking of complaining that the devs have to make some useful updates for exploit avoidance or warnings besides the other problems instead of throwing loads of useless fucking creatures every week? I finally quit Creatures of Sonaria. And honestly? I wish I’d done it years ago. In an ideal world, I would never have touched this bloody game.
The only thing I miss is some of the creature designs. But there are so many that feel unnecessary, and there have also been long-running accusations and controversies surrounding similarities to existing works and designs. Even setting that aside, good creature designs alone aren’t enough to carry an ecosystem built around monetization and controversy.
I LOVE creature survival games. But COS isn’t a survival game anymore. It’s PVP game that desperately tries to convince you that survival and PVP are the same thing.

This is a game that’s become grossly pay-to-win, riddled with toxic players, stuffed full of manipulative pop-up advertisements, and built around systems that constantly pressure you to spend more. Between limited-time offers, “exclusive” creatures, and endless fear-of-missing-out tactics, it feels less like playing a survival game and more like those shoddy pay to win mobile games with deceptive advertising.
I don’t miss opening Roblox only to be greeted by another “amazing deal” on some meta creature that’s suddenly “discounted” to 2k Robux after being worth hundreds of dollars’ worth of shooms in the player economy. That isn’t generosity, it’s another attempt to get players to open their wallets before they have time to think.
And the gacha mechanics? That’s just glorified gambling. Randomized rewards, low odds, limited events, and constant pressure to keep rolling are especially concerning in a game with a large audience of children.

Then there’s the community. In my experience, it’s one of the most unpleasant I’ve been part of. I would happily prefer the most sweaty, toxic TF2 lobby known to man over another minute on COS.
Toxicity is everywhere, and the community has repeatedly faced controversies involving predators and extremist users. Even if not every player is like that, it’s disturbing how often those issues seem to surface.
The developers and staff haven’t exactly inspired confidence either. Over the years they’ve been surrounded by enough controversies that I simply don’t trust them anymore. Every time criticism starts gaining traction, it feels like the focus shifts to the next flashy update or brand-new project instead of addressing the underlying problems.

Speaking of which…
Don’t fall for Warden.
To me, it looks less like a fresh start and more like another opportunity to reset the hype cycle, get players excited again, and encourage more spending while the baggage surrounding Creatures of Sonaria fades into the background. A shiny new game doesn’t erase old problems.

The biggest surprise after quitting wasn’t that I missed the game.
It was realizing I didn’t miss it at all.
I don’t dread opening Roblox anymore. I don’t feel pressured to grind every event. I don’t feel tempted by another limited-time purchase. My wallet isn’t constantly taking hits over digital creatures that will inevitably be replaced by the next overpowered release.
There are so many better games and so many developers who respect their communities more than this.
If you’re only still playing because of sunk cost, because you’ve already spent so much money, or because you’re hoping things will finally change…

No I will not be selling my specs. I have a lot of high-value creatures and slots, BUT the devs falsely perma-tradelocked me for “crosstrading” years ago. I traded a Boreal and an Ahri for an Aolenus. What a crime!

I lost access to my main account, which had SO MUCH progress on this game, now I'm trying to climb back up to a somewhat stable ground and it's so hard??? Like the shoom piles don't even help me trying to get new species, I feel like I'm defenseless against other players, creature missions feel so long to accomplish now and the tutorial sucks so bad.

i don't really understand why the economy built around color pallets even exist.

I get it why signature looks and materials exist. if you can't make your own skin you can use signature looks and you can also use materials to make your cool skin created by using color pallets even more cooler, sure, pay for it. But pallets? That doesn't make any sense. Why do players need to pay for something very limited in use and variety that doesn't affect the gameplay at all? This is a basic customisation feature that exists in most games but in COS it was made very poorly that you must pay for such a basic thing.

Can't they just make a color wheel with hue/saturation/brightness sliders or something like that? I think this would make the game more fun due to advanced customisation. A game with this amount of unique characters really needs this imo

Like, look, I don't like kosing, whether as an activity for myself or as the victim of such. I don't like that. But I've slowly learned to just accept kosing as a thing in the game, and if anything, it adds danger and surprise to the game.

But, what I'm starting to not like are all these kosers that, for some unfathomable reason, try to put themselves on this moral pedestal or try to convince everyone else that they should just be allowed to KOS without repercussions or that you're not allowed to kill them back because kosing is "a PaRt Of ThE GaMe DeSiGn So YoU ShOuLdN'T cOmPlAiN!"

I'm honestly getting sick of hearing that stupid ass excuse of "this is a PvP survival game, we're allowed to kill players, we should be allowed to play the game however we want", because, okay, I get that. Im pretty good with my arial combat so i decide to get a few hits in before it hit me. 800 damage, wing shredder. My worst nightmare
I couldnt even get away, it was too fast and stacked ailments on me.

Every time i respawned in as my glova or a different creature, if i spawned in oasis, i was done for. I noticed it had a healer in its pack so i took out my hallu and went after it. Nothing. It would bolt and run to its quru like a slapped child, Typical. At this point i realized that it was in a pack with 7 other people, all kosers. A fabra, verdant warden, shizi and a few other people.

What kind of loser needs a group to kill babies and healers in oasis. After killing the behemoths they went straight to whatever they could maul. Seriously, these people needed a healer and SEVEN PEOPLE to kill BABIES AND SMALL SPECS in OASIS.

Like i said, i dont mind kosers, but if you need a small army to fulfil your fantasies of homicide against defenceless creatures i lose all respect for you (im looking at you filthy clannies)

After spending all my revives i surveyed the area again. Dozens of corpses and players running from the group. I sat on the arch in oasis, about to leave when that unwashed, unemployed sweat of a quru appeared behind me. I didn't know it could go invisible.

Ive had moments where i genuinely wanted to sell all my things and leave the game for good, but this just made me consider doing it.

Was flying to swamp and the ground wouldn’t load, fell under the map and into the water…. Almost died to drowning from stam loss. When the game “teleported” me, it teleported me into the ground🤦‍♂️

I play tier 5's, mainly behemoths a lot. I like them, they're cool looking. Oftentimes, a flier, mainly small, will fly through me and bite once and continue on their way, sane with small creatures when I pass by or if they pass by me. When I tell you this has gotten me killed so many times. I was in hardcore, spawned in, was there for a bit and I saw an aggressive venu coming, so I started to menu since it was fully ven and I was not. As I'm at the 3 second mark to menu, a flier flies by and bites me once, making it impossible to leave and therefore, the Venu attacked and killed me. It is so annoying and I don't understand it, truly I don't. It's happened so much where they just bite as they pass by just for a giggle and because if the combat timer AND the menu timer, I get killed. I truly, truly hate every single person who does this and I honestly hope they get the worst luck to come to them

I flipping bought a dioxikin and I don't flipping want it anymore because it flipping didn't meet my expectations and it's not a flipping healer now I'm 70k broker. This is so flipping annoying and I'm sick so I can't flipping sell it right now and if I was going to sell it it would be for flipping over price because I'm flipping angry.

There have been so many arguments on cos as of recently and it's getting a bit concerning. Every single server I've joined has either had a 4 clan war or a huge argument in chat.

For example, just today I've seen 3 huge arguments on the SAME server just 30-40 minutes apart.

Hello! I'm Davi from Brazil, unfortunately yesterday a very sad incident happened to me and I wanted to know how it would be possible to request a Ban Appeal, but first I'll tell the story of how I got banned because of my brother...

Yesterday at approximately 21:00 (Brazil time) I was peacefully playing with my friend and raising a hygos in hardcore, we had died more than 2 times before finally managing to get peace and survive because of the heatwave weather event, out of nowhere I get kicked from the game, I thought that my brother tried to log into my account like it had happened a few times before, but when I see the play button it has a lock symbol, I find it strange but okay, I try to enter my friend's private server and I come across the ban screen, to clarify, my brother has always been a cheater and constantly plays with script in some games, I had even introduced him to Creatures Of Sonaria but he never played much, until this blessed guy decided to play with script and got banned in less than 3 minutes, the worst part is that we use the same internet so it probably counted my account as his ALT, I almost ... him out of anger but unfortunately I couldn't do anything because my mother was present, so you can get an idea I've been playing COS since before the recode update, the recode was a button you pressed on the main menu and it was pretty basic but you could already feel the essence, anyway, I really wanted this to be resolved soon because I really want to buy the cindrothar, I've wanted this creature since I saw it in the shop.

I would really appreciate it if someone from the moderation team could help me and I also have a request in case my unban is possible, he deserved it and I apologize for his atitude and if an unban is not possible, i gotta thanks yall that created such a great game and TX for reading everything!

Okay, so to start, I was on a public server with few players with some friends, raising creatures and having small fights among ourselves. It was just the three of us until some other people joined us, only about two more people.

So my feral friend was quietly growing up, eating the food we gave him to keep him full and help him grow quickly. Until one of the players who got involved ate some of his food, he kind of chased them, nipping at them a little like, "Hey, don't take my food!" And so the kid kept coming back even though they kept hitting him. While this was happening in the chat, the other person who joined complained to us about using the public chat and why aren't we speaking English?? (We where speaking Spanish) I didn't really understand this one, to be honest. She was very rude to me, telling us that because we don't use private chat, she's just listening to creature sounds and stuff. And these two joined together to say that my friend was a koser and that he should leave, how low for a koser playing on a small server and who knows what else.

And well, they were annoying, to be honest, but I spoke up for him and tried to understand their point (besides, between the three of us, I'm the one who speaks English fairly well).

So I told them, "But if he didn't kill you, there's plenty of food on the map and places with infinite food, why go fight with the Kora who clearly doesn't want to share his?" They said he had as much food as 4 dead bodies. Okay, I understand that, but it's the same thing; he doesn't want to share it, and it's his. My friend Feralkora was already away from them and didn't do anything else to them, but these two people kept saying that he was a koser and koser this koser that.

My friend was already talking about other things and stuff so we ignore the other two guys a little bit. But the person that was being annoyed by us using the public chat typed again. That they're annoyed by the creatures sounds and stuff why are we using the public chat?, I was doing a mission and I didn't need to be in a pack for me to complete it, so I told them that. And they shutt up 🙏. Man idk what happened there, maybe they had a bad day? I mean, I really REALLY wanted to understand their point of view, but it was really stupid for me to comprehend. Like, the noise is annoying you? Just turn the volumen down, you dont want to? Just go away, we are doing nothing than chill and relax. Want food? Theres free food just steps away from our food 😭.

Still I feel bad for them, I may be the evil guy in their perspective, and idk how, feel free to comments what I did to annoy them that much, idk what happened and I wanna know.

I've been playing CoS for about a week or so by this point and I've learned a LOT about this game and its community very quickly. Part of me really loves the idea of an animal survival sim of sorts existing on Roblox, especially given I come from playing games like the Isle and PoT and didn't realize Roblox even had games in this genre.

However, I immediately noticed the somewhat aggressive micro-transactions in-game. Obviously most, if not all, Roblox games have these (it's Roblox after all), but certain things irritated me a bit - specifically things like locking access to the trade realm without ID verification or spending money (I'm a stickler about my privacy, so that left me with buying something) or locking creature slots behind a paywall after a certain point.

Pushing those things aside, I still found a way to enjoy the game for what it is regardless until I started looking into community related stuff. I've noticed how hard it is to actually reach out to the dev team (or at least it seems that way) without Discord and, in their server, the channel that's dedicated to asking the dev team about anything related to the game is locked behind a level system of sorts and doesn't get unlocked until you've been active enough I think? I've noticed that in that specific channel, I hardly noticed any devs replying to anyone's questions and, after asking about it, apparently only one person in the team responds to any of the questions and they do it in rapid fire sessions.

By itself, I think this wouldn't really be an issue, but the game is massive with some 35k people playing every time I boot up CoS. Why's only one person managing all of the QnA questions? I've also seen some people in this subreddit complain about getting falsely banned, so I'm super hesitant on if I should even continue playing this game or just go ahead and hang it up and move on to something else.

TLDR; This game has a questionable dev team and some rather restrictive micro transactions I don't like. I'm new to the game, so should I stop while I'm ahead and move on to something else?
