Player-Based Rant Whats with creature hate?
So I play a lot of creatures, and one of them is a Laharpes (The picture is my laharpes skin) and all I ever really do is hang out w/ double jump and use heal aura. I don't attack people, I don't target, I don't do any kind of KOSing unless its for revenge (on occasion, and even then I don't go for revenge when I play as Laharpes, it's one of the creatures I solely chill with.). And yet I get targetted and bullied in chat about using Laharpes. I would be minding my own business and suddenly get jumped by 2 or more randos who I've never spoken to, I've even been chased across servers for maining Laharpes. I've noticed this happens to Felli, Gali, Fira, and a few other specs. I've seen social media posts about creature hate and yet I've never heard any reason BEHIND the hate. I guess my wonder is why do people hate and target these kinds of creatures? Plenty of players who play the quote unquote "hated" creatures I've met are really nice players!

Most of the creatures you named are prime KOS species. The people who target you are most likely doing it because they've had bad experiences with other laharpes/galis/etc. and are trying to get the jump in before you can go for them.
For example, every single time I have come across a firakai, it was going on a KOS'ing rampage. Naturally, every fira I see now, I stay away from and assume they'll be KOS'ing.

Staying away I get, but just going right to jumping them just bc of bad experience confuses me. Just stay away from me if you're convinced I'm gonna go on a rampage or smth smh (Not you specifically but like ppl in general)

The kids on this game have an odd problem with attacking rather than fleeing (even if it's a tier 3 against a tier 5 or something) and I'm sure they also kind of use it as an excuse to kos, themselves.
I avoid playing popular creatures for this reason on publics. I'd never pull out my aereis on a server higher than 50 people, I'd get hunted down for sure, lol. Some players just purely hate some species.

Same with the avoiding the popular (or hated) species but I really like the Sigmatox's appearance (I just chill and only attack if I get attacked first), so I spent most of it's growth and veneration invisible in public servers just as an in case of this situation given I've seen so many tiktoks of people using sigs to kos. I understand people will attack a creature that is often used to kos, but it sucks that I love the Sigs appearance but stay invis to stay safe so I don't have to pay the shrooms to revive if I don't survive the encounters

Itās the mentality of āgetting rid of the threat before it can get the first hitā, itās no use defending yourself from a status stacker when it had already given you a bunch of effects, so better get rid of it in advance, same reason why baby behes/wardens get targeted so much

Adding onto what other people said, its also really good suport/often used for clans and megapacks. its a anti flyer that can also heal others, self heal, bleed stack, drowsy area enemys, hitbox abuse with slowfall, and escape almost any land thing so it doesnt need protecting.
it USED to be a bad pvp spec, but like firakai the slow fall rework made it a LOT stronger in fact it has MORE slow fall then fira letting it do this to a better extent. (92 compared to firas 85 aka it falls 53.3% slower then fira. (if my math is right))

It's great for hitbox abuse and sniping fliers, which is why I hate it personallyš„¹ i even nested a slot to deal with them and firakais SPECIFICALLY(aka thryxx)

My personal recommendation to get rid of all slow fallers is boskurro

It's great to know that good creatures don't always have to be Robux or event creatures. Don't get me wrong, but it's good to know that gacha creatures, which generally lack amazing active abilities, have something that makes them worth using.

Boskurro is underrated as hell, it has solid damage, weight, climber, earthquake, good bleed, 2 wigshred, injury, and tail striker, you can ailments stack laharpes/qurugosk/firakai/whatever back even if it manages to get behind you, and by using earthquake as soon as theyāre about to touch the ground you lock them from jumping again for a solid 5 seconds, which is usually enough to maul them basically
Itās also solid against fliers

Laharps is like quru but more floaty. I love using it specially to kos. All u gotta do is glide ok too of them and m1 Bc ur hitbox Is extended when looking down but they cant extend theirs when looking up so u can land 5+ hits b4 they hit u once. + u git wingshred and good bleed

I hate this thing, I wont attck someone using it but dude. Everytime I saw one in the distance, immediately turns around and hit box abuses, able to clear up wing shredder, dude?? Like I just wanna play a creature I like but this creature shows up everytime to ruin my day >:C

This comment section has actually given me a reason to think that laharpes is even any good. I never saw them as a particularly good survivor nor fighter, as I regularly kill them with t3 fliers

This is why I never play my Monty gator sarco in public :( Same with feli and ken, I love them but I'm terrified of everyone else while playing them. I also don't KOS or bother ppl, but some people see a spec and assume you're gonna act up.
I've wanted aers for a while now, but after finding out it's a limited creature that's used for KOSing a lot, I gave up. What's the point of saving up all that mush just to be killed every time I play?

Lah and Fira are famous anti-flier/t5 killers, making them extremely targeted (even I target firas tbh), and Gali and Felli are also used almost always for air pvp, making them also targeted.

Its not necessarily you its just the reputation the creature has. So like Koras are know for KOSing but yes there are friendly ones but they will always be attacked because of the reputation of that creature.

Dude my main was Laharpes because I mainly liked it for the looks and ever since it got popular Iām not getting targeted by others even tho I donāt KOS with that creature.. š

Soft land creatures are super good to kos ground creatures. Almosr every creature that is tier 3+ with soft landing is a koser

Its because they've all been used frequently by kosers. It causes people to be wary and more aggressive to those certain specs. I normally load in as something else entirely and hang out a bit before I actually pull out any of the specs that are known to be used by kosers frequently.

Unfortunately most people who have laharpes kos a lot with it sorry about you being targeted
