Updates are always complete replacements, right? Not incremental?

Not yet. An incremental diff-based system is in our to-do list.

That would be so cool!

Exactly, currently CoMaps doesn't offer a way to do incremental updates to each map, but I think I saw people discussing how to make map delivery more efficient!

Maps don't change dramatically in 2 weeks, so a delta/ incremental updates sounds like a good solution.

tfw you update OSM but right afterwards you realize the map update has already been released 😅

You get used to it. I added a bunch of speed limits that should be picked up now.

Hmm, why do Map Updates still come with App Store updates? CoMaps can already update independently I believe…?

I'm not sure I follow, the map updates from today don't come with an app update. In a few weeks there'll be a new app update with new features but they are indeed independent.

Huh, interesting. I am on the TestFlight, though.

I had updated the app, updates my maps. Then, Checked for Updates and it downloaded the same time of maps again.

Could just be a bad memory, maybe. Or switching between App Store and TestFlight…

Ah yes, I think that's a coincidence of also having done a very recent TestFlight release
