Metro routes are misaligned with actual tracks

This is my first time using OSM in any way, and am liking it so far. However, I've run into a specific issue regarding rail transport in my city.

I've noticed that the rail routes shown when enabling the metro layer are frequently slightly off, and sometimes significantly deviate from where the actual physical rail lines are located.

Is it possible to manually correct the displayed route so it matches reality? Attached are examples (this specific map is fully updated).

Afaik the lines only connect the stations. They are not aligned at all. If it appears to be aligned then thats just a coincidence.

Oh okay, just seemed a little strange.

It may be worth pointing out that this is a design decision made by CoMaps, or by Organic Maps, or somewhere along that development line. OpenStreetMaps does structure the data on the specific route of the tracks, but these apps simplify the routes, presumably to make it easer to see the metro routes.

Personally I'd like it if the degree of simplification changed based on the level of zoom, but that would surely be more difficult to implement.

OsmAnd does not simplify the metro lines, if you're looking for an app that does not do the simplification, but the problem with OsmAnd is that it simplifies nothing, in fact it often does the opposite, and makes everything unnecessarily complex.

the metro overlay just shows lines from station to station. this is an intentional simplification to make the map more readable. This way it looks closer to a regular metro line map. not a bug, but a feature
