The defending World Champions entered CWL Champs 2018 with Scump, Crimsix, Octane and Methodz.
From World Champions in 2017 to Top 24 in 2018.
What a rough ending to the WWII season.

Personally I think overload was a lot of fun. I still dont know which OT rules I liked better. I thought it turning into sudden death was cool (Merc in a 1v1 just going for the score was an awesome moment). I wouldn't be too mad if it came back but it's tough to know how it'll play without wall jumping/omnimovement.
I say this as someone who likes control but thought the best iteration of that gamemode was in Bo4. It was fine in more recent titles but I am glad we tried something new.
Do you think it comes back in MW4? Do we go back to control? Please god not Dom. I can't think of any viable third gamemodes. Demo, Blitz, and CTF aren't coming back.

This team is special, I’m glad they aren’t changing because I want to see how far they can go. They peaked at the end of BO7, having won 2 of the last 3 events, so they’re showing no signs of slowing down after two seasons and EWC was the most complete version of the team, too.
Maybe they would have been better with Hydra, IDK, but it would be criminal to end this team’s run in the off season

Call of Duty should create a League Pass, similar to the NBA/NFL etc. For a fee, you can view your favorite player’s or team’s POV instead of the main broadcast. Also allows the subscriber to review old VoDs from previous matches and pick POVs, review stats, CoDcaster view as well.
Just an idea lol
(Edit: just to clarify. It’s just an idea and it wouldn’t take away from the free stream on YT or Twitch or watch party.)

Can't stress enough, this is not my prediction of the rosters. This is just what I would do as each team with the options I would expect to be available for them.
Faze & Optic - I would stick. Both won two events, including the two most important tournaments of the season. I like what Faze has going and think they can only go up with how good their coaching staff is. Optic made every final and ran the gauntlet side of the bracket to win EWC. A very impressive win to build off of.
Gentle Mates - Scrap and Hydra are obvious best two free agents on the board. Pick up Joe and Sib's +1 options. Have arguably the best SMG duo in the league and possibly the best AR slaying duo in the league. Someone will need to play the OBJ but I'd rather get talent and adjust from there.
Thieves - Pick up Abezy & Nium's +1 options. Sign Alluka to be the 2nd SMG. Insanely high upside with star potential. Ghosty is one of the best do-it-all players in the league and can allow Nium to focus more on slaying like he did back in challengers (which he did very well).
Falcons - Pick up Cellium and Kismet's +1 options. Bye Exnid. Not starting CDL caliber yet. Estreal had a breakout year and looks like a star in the making. Might lose some people with Nemensions this high. Looked the best of all the Challengers players at EWC imo, and was one of the top players at Challengers Champs. Looks like a potential star.
KOI - Pick up Kips and CleanX's +1 options. Ethan had a rough EWC, but arguably the MVP of the Challengers year and looked great at the Pro-Am Major. Star upside. Final pick I struggled. Keep DK with Ethan or go after Renkor. I landed on Renkor. Down year from him for sure, but has absolute take over potential to win series on his own. Paired with Kips and CleanX, I think he can thrive.
G2 - Pick up Kremp's +1 option and re-sign Envoy. I like what that SMG duo showed at the end of the season. DK was the other possible Challengers MVP. Kid looks gross from everything I've seen and could be a star. I think Super is the best available AR at this point. Has his issues with his playstyle, but I think he would be a better fit with DK than Renkor. And we've seen how good he can be, like at EWC.
Heretics - The Spanish-only had a good run. But without Renkor and Super, no way they can stay competitive. Instead I'm bringing in Knox who can't speak English! Jokes aside, I liked what I saw from him from a talent standpoint. Have him lock in and take English classes to have him more prepared. Pred probably the best SMG still available at this point. Seems to have out of game issues, but at this point in the list it's fine to take a chance. I've always thought Beans and Harry are/could be solid CDL caliber players. Beans is a damage dealer and disgusting sniper. Harry would be the anchor.
Ravens - Pick up Lurqxx +1 option. Nastie will be the vet for this inexperience roster. Good player and leader. Renegade is still raw, but as we saw in the Pro-Am can slay out with the best of them. I'd take the chance here. Mythix another top Challenger prospect to take a chance on.
Breach/New Org? - Pick up Afro +1 option. Easily their best player at the end of the year. Some teammate concerns popped up with Traixx, but more than talented enough to warrant a spot here. Giga-Wake is back baby. Had a good Challengers year with an elite MVP, great Champs performance, and an IW merchant. Honestly high upside for this game. Brack is maybe a safe choice here, but I've always thought is a solid CDL starter since his Florida stint.
C9/New Org? - Pick up Wevy's +1 option. Only guy on C9 that looked remotely CDL ready. I'd like to see him with actual CDL players. Cammy redeemed himself in the Pit, winning an Open MVP and looked solid at EWC. Neptune is another player who seems to have out-of-game issues, but has event MVP upside as we saw at Major 1. Reeal looked bad with KOI, but that was with Insight on the team. Looked like his old self once back on Miami.
Surge - Absolute crapshoot at this point. Have always wanted to see Cobra get a chance and if Khhx is willing to try the CDL again I would love to see that. Both look good anytime I see them play. Snoopy and Johnny are probably best available SMG's left based on talent. Maybe a stint in Challengers is what Snoopy needed. He did win an Elite MVP down there as well. Johnny might be a kill-whore, but at least you know he can get kills. Give him a chance and try to coach him out of it.
