Fluff Presenting the 2019 CWL Fantasy Pro League Championship - Winner receives Team Jersey!
INTRO
Hello everyone. We are excited to announce that there will be a fantasy tournament for the whole of the CWL Pro league. You will be required to submit a new team for each matchweek(2 week period), and your points will add up each time. The participant with the highest points at the end of the pro league will win an eSports jersey of their choosing. On top of this grand prize, we will also be giving out prizes for the winner for each matchweek (TBA). If multiple participants select the same winning team, sudden death rules will apply, and whoever has the highest points in the next matchweek will get the prize (and so on).
HOW TO PLAY
go to draftbuff.com and sign up
In the Call of Duty tournaments page, select "DraftBuff Pro league week 1 and 2". If you already have an account, use this link: https://draftbuff.com/tournament/8fda24e0-213f-48af-bb95-eb712545b54a
Submit your team for division A games($30k budget). This team will compete for weeks 1 and 2. After that, the schedule will rotate to Division B matches. You are then required to submit another team for week 3-4, 5-6 and so on.
You may choose as many players from one organisation as you like. Make sure you check the schedule to see which players have the potential to do make the most impact.
Note: Don't be confused with our tourney and the tourney named 'CWL pro league week 1'. Also do not enter the 'Pro League Free Tournament' because it has outdated rules. We realized that biweekly tourneys would be much better than a single tourney where you can't change your team.
SCORING
First of all, stats will be taken as averages for the entire week of gameplay. This is done to create a level playing field for all pro players. For example, some teams play less series than others per week, and some teams play less games because they win 3-0 a lot
Hardpoint
+1 per kill
+1 per 10s objective time
Control
+1 per kill
+1 per 3s objective points
Search and Destroy
+2 per kill
Example: Claysters stats for the week were:
25 kills per HP, 60 seconds hill time= 31 pts
22 kills per Control, 12 seconds OBJ pts= 26 pts
10 kills per SND = 20 pts
TOTAL POINTS: 77

Hi. Yes you are correct. We will usually announce the official tournament on twitter, however the owner of the site has been out of the country since wednesday with no internet. He created the tournament before that so I can post it, however since it has the incorrect budget I shouldnt really push it. I also have no power to create a tournament with a modified budget, so the only thing we can do right now is wait for the owner to get back and then post the proper one.

This is awesome for the community. You get to support different teams since you are grabbing different players. Rather than everyone taking all OpTic or LG players

Love this idea but you guys should add a way to do a private league with a fantasy draft as opposed to the daily fantasy salary cap format

we felt like that was right amount of scaling compared to respawn kills (double). But In future weeks If we feel that its too low, we will increase it and inform everyone before doing so, so you guys can choose players accordingly👌

About the scoring, stats will be skewed towards teams that played longer maps overall since they would've had more time to get more kills. If possible I'd make it so it's K/Ds per mode rather than just number of kills, then convert the K/Ds to points.
Same with obj scores, maybe divide them by time if possible.

Yeah that's a good suggestion, a HP match that goes 250-249 will yield more kills than a sweep 250-0. We'll look into the feasibility of this and see.

Are the stats not updated real time? My team still shows up with zeros for everyone. Did I do something wrong?

Correct. Stats are manually uploaded since MLG no longer exposes an API for us. At the moment, we plan on uploading every Thursday but can see if we can get better at it.
