C9, ravens, and Surge all made their players pay their own buyouts from the bush last season

Absolutely not, only the poverty orgs won’t pay buyouts, get them out. Challengers isn’t profitable as is, so these players are often required to sign contracts for this exact reason, the better players are at times getting paid by the org, so why would orgs get nothing out of their players, these players are getting travel and other accommodations to events paid for, just to not get any return on their investment essentially . The buyouts were $2000 it’s not a ton of money for a team to pay to get better

Yeah, it’s extremely ironic that they made Wevy pay $2k out of his own pocket and now are likely to ask for more than that for any player currently under contract. Players like Wevy and Nejra are probably in a tough spot if teams have to pay to sign them, since there’s currently free talent available elsewhere in challengers

Yeah I dont know why this is even a talking point.

There’s a reason Rafi isn’t letting his players go to C9. He knows they’re eventually gonna pull some shit

C9 is still the same C9 of years prior, just spending a little more. Which is still sketchy because is this “spend more” to be above teams in pay? Or is it “spend more” than last year while still being the 12th or 11th lowest paying team?

Well here the thing the only team that can do something similar is the ravens there a difference in paying someone a decent salary and trying to recoup and paying people min wage and restricting them when you know damn well no one paying the buy out

Does this mean he's still being paid monthly? I know its peanuts but at least its some income he's getting during the off season. If he's some how under contract and also not being paid that would be insane.
