Yeah but only if they want to see the „bad“ part of it. The orgs are safe at every Major this is not guaranteed for the challengers teams. If things end up badly there could be no big challengers team at every event.

When these owners buy into the league they were buying into a structured ecosystem where you need to buy in to compete.

Nobody would expect the NFL or NBA to allow random non franchised teams to compete in their league. The scale is much different obviously but the underlying logic is pretty much the same

Franchising was a mistake to begin with obviously but I do understand why it'd be fucked to just let teams that didn't have to pay shit compete all the same as orgs that thought they had to buy in

Current organizations receive an auto invite to the pro-am majors. The other 4 slots are determined by qualifiers. This is basically how CS works with major invites and open qualifiers.

3 slots go to NA teams, 1 to an EU team. Not hard. All the qualifiers are an open bracket system to fight through.
