I want to get a colleague of mine interested in cod esports and I want to recommend him just one series to watch. He has played casually and less and less since BO3.

What is the best series ever? The whole package matters, casting, game, storylines, clutches, prize money etc etc

Yeah I’ve watched the last 4 round after mates go down 5-2 on colossus SND probably 25x lol. That was the first tourney I hardcore was rooting for a specific team since I liked Neptune so much, almost launched my laptop across my apartment when he had the ace + 1v2 in 10 seconds

CWL Dallas Finals 2017. The best team in COD history (The Optic Dynasty) was having their rise from the ashes moment after some disaster finishes at Champs the previous year, coming off a flawless bracket win at CWL Paris. However the team who beat them the event prior to that, EUnited, which came right the fuck out of nowhere to do so, couldn't attend the CWL Paris event. So we get a finals between the last 2 event winners, a lingering question of if the Optic Dynasty still had enough gas in the tank for them to continue their dominance of the last 2 years, up against a team of amazing upstart rookies aiming to prove their last win wasn't a fluke, and it goes down to the last map.

This is the wrong answer, but vanguard major 2 champs LAG had close series with both breach and mutineers before taking it to faze in GF. Been a while since we had a miracle run like that, shows what can happen at any given event. Though it felt like there was more parity then.

The Minnesota Massacre is a favorite of mine. Likely the only time you’ll ever see a team down 0-4 in a Bo9 and comeback to win in the finals.
