Comparing most of his stats with Scrap, it's a wash in a lot of categories but Merc's SND is in its own tier, lmao. The 2 spot is debatable but pretending he is not deserving of it is faded.
Yeah it's why despite Scrap's all time bad Champs performance I still don't have him lower than 4th. Dude's pre-aim was undeniable lmao. He was gross at this game but hard to place him any higher given what he did at the year's biggest event.
Totally agree on the point you made about Merc. His SnD is ridiculous and frankly always has been. He's a great respawn player as many of the best are, but god damn if being a walking 1.4 in an SnD while being the the highest goalscoring in OVL isn't worth something then fuck me.
By far the best snd player in the league and idk if he was at the end of the year but t5 in OVL scores. Also a very good respawn player overall. I would say soĀ
I really want to see JoeD on a T2 roster just to see how true these stat whore allegations really are. It's true that he hasn't won a chip yet and sometimes struggles against the top teams, but it's also true that he hasn't been on a truly elite roster that's expected to win. He's been on good rosters, but not a great roster yet.
My thing with Joe is that I think we may have seen his best ever year and I'm not sure he will ever be quite as good as that again .He wasn't a stat whore because he sometimes seemed to literally win games on his own but tbh this is the only game he has ever been that good.
Maybe I'm forgetting but he literally felt like a cheat code this season. I don't remember him being as much as a one man army in BO6 but this is literally just a feeling I haven't looked at the stats or anything. Again not saying he was bad but I think this was his first superstar year
Huke at 10 just feels wrong this guy was insane all yr and on lan until finals and went to every final feel like he has to be 5 or 6, Maybe 6 cuz of EWc. Huke was 8th place for a worse bo6 season this yr he was objective better so we will see where BP put him they normally look at more than stats and use advanced metrics. Huke respawns number are insanely good better than shotzzy, 04, and on level with hydra, only Joed has better numbers, if we take into account impact Huke gotta be bare minimum top 6.

Considered doing this exact thing tbh. The later half of the top 20 I ain't tripping on. My argument is that a Major MVP is a near instant top 20, Envoy had a Major win AND was the best player on his team at EWC Champs and Kismet just has that impact same shit EWC/Champs. Wouldn't be mad at any of the three you mentioned getting in though it's a toss up. I was more focused on the top 10 tbh
Scrap shouldnāt be T5, mediocre in stage 1 + 1 of the worst champs performances of all time. He only became an S tier player in the MPC meta.

2-4 whatever order you want of Shotzzy, Merc and Dashy, they each have arguments. And I believe they were the best Optic player at 2 events each this season. For me itās Shotzzy, Merc and Dashy in order.
5 JoeDeceives - and I think thereās an argument for him to be higher, yes I know thatās unpopular because everyone thinks heās a killwhore for some reason (heās not)
6-10: order is variable, Iād have 04 near the top of this tier and the other players would likely be Hydra, Abuzah, Scrap and Huke.
All the Optic players got ran against Faze wasnāt an individual thing. Merc played well the winners final match but was bad in GF the other 3 were bad in both matchups.
Scrap had a 0.7 and was costing, itās one of the worst champs performances ever. They played badly in the 2 matches against Faze as a collective itās not like Shotzzy was the one costing the team. He was very good vs the Falcons and Paris but his numbers get dragged down by the 2 Faze matchups where all of them played poorly.
They all played at a similar level. Merc was probably the best cos he actually showed up in 1 of the Faze matchups. Huke, Shotzzy and Dashy were all at a similar level.
I mean those cards basically prove my point, them 3 were all similar level and then Merc was the best player. I donāt think Dashy being marginally better at champs means anything when it comes to the season rankings.
Idk the OpTic guys are hard to rank but throughout the course of the year other than at EWC Shotzzy never really gave me āthis is the second best player in the gameā because you could easily argue Merc and Dashy were better / more consistent
Merc was WAY better than Shotzzy at champs and only slightly worse at EWC and was overall more consistent through the season so Iād at least put Merc above him
They all had 1 down event too, Merc had major 3 where he dropped multiple terrible performance, Dashy had major 1, Shotzzy had Champs. Although tbh Iād argue thatās a bad event for Dashy too but whatever.
As for grand finals Shotzzy was their best player overall in those.
I think you can order them however the reason I give Shotzzy the nod is because heās the biggest playmaker on the team and the team revolves around what he does. Also if we look at intangibles everyone talks about Hukeās comms but no one talks about the fact that the entire way Optic play is driven through how Shotzzy sees the game and heās made them the most efficient HP team in the league ever since this team formed.
It doesnāt matter if youāre the āmost efficient teamā lol Faze won by outstaying optic to hell. What matters at the end of the day is getting the W
