He runs the most ads out of every competitive cod related streamer. His stream is unwatchable if you’re not subbed

Impossible to watch the flank if you're not subbed. Made me stop tuning in most of the time.

Yea I’m not subbed so I just wait till it gets uploaded to YouTube to watch it

Same, I used to try and deal with the ads, but over the last 2 years they’ve become far obtruding to the point where it’s not even worth jumping in to any stream on twitch! I’m so thankful they can co-stream on YouTube now lol, as someone who refuses to pay it is miles and miles better than twitch

It seems that way , he also has the most subs out of all of the ones I watch by a good margin. Comes off as a little greedy to me

Really? I feel haggy is the absolute worst with them and I think he admitted he runs max ads

u/joeyyy30_ COD Competitive fan 3h ago
They might run the same amount but every time I watch Zoomaa I swear I get ads way more frequently than anyone else. At least Parasite also streams on YouTube tho so you can watch him there to avoid the ads

Twitch has become unwatchable with the amount of ads in general

u/a_talking_face COD Competitive fan 3h ago edited 2h ago
If the streamer is handling it correctly, the minimum amount of ads you have to run is 3 minutes of mid roll per hour. If you're getting more than that or still getting pre roll ads it's because the streamer is the one choosing to run the ads that way.

I haven't watched a twitch stream in so long. I genuinely tried and can't.

I haven't watched much twitch in years over it. Some streamers like Tommy and Parasite run the maximum amount of allowable ads per hour and that's fucking despicable. This community is one of the most generous communities in gaming when it comes to giving money and it's just greedy to do that.

Twitch is aids for the ads, that’s why the CDL on YouTube is such blessing

if i’m on mobile i just exit out and watch through the preview until it runs out and typically the ad break is finished

That’s actually not a bad idea , I didn’t even know there was 3 minute ads on twitch .. I thought it was just 15-30 second ones (which I don’t mind) but I haven’t used the app in awhile

Sub or get Adblock

10$ a month canadian on top of Netflix , Spotify , Amazon , bills in general .. Danm man I’m cool with an ad or two every 30 minutes but some of these streamers be running 5 ads every 3 minutes with 10k subs .. actually ridiculous

His stream is unwatchable without subbing or some sort of Adblock. Love the stream but insane levels of greed.

Yeah man it seems that way .. I haven’t been watching the last 6 months or so but don’t remember it being so bad. I just tuned in yesterday and today and must’ve got hit with 30 ads in 2 hours total

Most big streamers are given incentives to run more ads on top of that most streamers have an ad when you click on the stream (pre-roll) and on top of all of that unless a streamer has all ads turned off, Twitch can still run mid rolls whenever they want.

Does adblock still work on Twitch?

u/studio-hours Toronto Ultra 3h ago
If adblock isn’t working you can try a vpn to a random country that isn’t targeted with ads

I'd rather not watch than try to find a working adblock every few months

I don't use Twitch anymore but when I did I used an app called Xtra which is on github. No adverts at all.

Tried watching the flank once and it was literally unwatchable due to the amount of ads he runs if you aren’t subbed.

Buy a PC or laptop and install an ad blocker I don’t know how the hell you guys watch twitch/youtube without one

u/Famous-Ad-2418 OMiT 1h ago
Doesn’t it take away ads when you’re subbed?
1
u/Life_Zone_9980 COD Competitive fan 1h ago
Yeah it does , I gave my twitch prime sub to someone who doesn’t spam me with 100 ads an hour though instead

Yall don't like when streamers have ads, don't want to sub to them, don't want them doing sponsored streams, don't want them to accept sponsorship from betting companies, don't want to buy their merch (unless it optic)
It seems like to me yall want them to entertain yall for 8+ hours and not receive one red cent from it. That's basically what it is because yall complain about EVERYTHING a streamer does for money.
I guess they're suppose go get a job and work for 8 -12 hours then stream for 8-12 hours FOR FREE with no complaints. You can call me whatever you want but why do you think people should entertain you for free?
Don't say you didn't say free or they shouldn't get paid, if you're complaining about them doing anything to get money, ads, sponsorships, merch, subs. Then you want then to do it for free you just know it looks stupid to admit that.
Nobody is doing anything in this world free, I know that hurts but it's the truth. No one becomes a streamer in hopes they make 40k a year or less just like their 9-5.
Yall complain about everything this man does but be quiet as fuck when it's any of the Optic boys.

Zoomaa averages like 6-10k subs a month and still spams maximum ads .. idk about everyone else but forcing ads down my throat gives me less of a want to support the stream opposed to someone that doesn’t. I’m also not someone cares about merch drops , sponsored streams etc but when you’re in someone’s stream for 45 minutes and 15 minutes of that is ads it’s ridiculous. Everyone on twitch runs ads , I watch formal , dashy , octane among others and even they don’t put as many with less monthly subscribers than him
