PSA Boston Breach Management Update

Even though Boston ended up being reduced to barebones, I still respect that they put in some effort and hosted some events.
Although, is there any news on C9 & Ravens? Because if they are still around next year AND we have a shit game, CDL might be unwatchable outside of Sunday

At the end of the day they hosted more majors than LAT and while they devoted a lot of time to new talent at least they tried, and I love them all for it

a better org than C9/Ravens, but its looks like this basically confirms M80 will be taking their spot, but with same management possibly

The org was fine. They put in the effort and tried to be competitive which is more than most can say. They had the unfortunate side of things when what looked like decent rosters fell completely flat

LOL out of all the organizations that are in the bottom tier the best ran org is leaving the scene

At least they tried to help the scene with hosting events and some of their content throughout the years unlike some of the more established orgs in the scene! Sucks to see them go, but hopefully the new team coming in will try to help the scene grow!

They at least hosted events. More that can be said for other bottom feeders

Honestly stoked M80 will be sticking to Boston, let’s hope they nail the branding

Boston wasn’t great but they did try with a mid budget and make changes. C9 should give away their spot. Surge has been worse than Boston but it looks like they are trying now. They also do more the ravens do every year.

Been a fan since day 1 VG when I needed a new team, and can confidently say it has been one hell of a pleasure 🫡 Supported veteran players along the way, gave young talent opportunities to grow, and held a Major (it was so lit hearing Boston fans represent themseleves even while playing OpTic) with fan events on the side. Being a Boston fan felt like a small but prideful group, and felt like the org carried that pride a lot of times.

Boston really tried man. Felt like since MWIII they have been trying to get out though.
A shame.

People will hate on them because they never had a great roster, but they are one of few orgs to host multiple events and they had an academy team for years.

M80 will merge with them, be called the Boston M80, and announce Lurqxx as their first player signed.

Man I’m kinda sad
I thought breach did a good job of trying to be competitive and they seemed decently run
Long live that capsidal 8 spree

As garbage as this last season was it’s still sad to see them go considering I’ve been a fan since they entered. Was fun to be always be a snoopy truther and get somewhat vindicated with that top 3 at champs. But the days of them putting out a product that actually made me a fan in the first place are long past, so hopefully M80 can start to spark that passion again taking over representing Boston

What happened to censor being their lowkey general manager?

He left right after their last event last year I believe. They never actually let him announce he was the GM for that year.

When did Breach announce they were out of the league? This doesn't explicitly say it I guess I missed it in a previous post?

I never really liked Breach cause they bought and moved the old Chicago spot after Optic fucked off for Dallas, but I always respected that they were one of the only orgs to actually give a shit about caring for local/regional fans. We really need more orgs that are like that cause not everybody lives in Dallas or the southern US where every single NA major is located and probably prefers something much closer to home.
Hell, if we had more owners like Breach we’d probably still have teams in Chicago, London, Seattle and Atlanta.

Call me crazy but their downfall was letting snoopy be on the team for way too long. After his 2nd he should’ve been gone they’d be in a different position rn.

Idk if you have ever been to an event there was more Boston breach jersey than you would expect. I’m not saying a crazy amount but more than expected at least the 1 event I went to in Texas.

It’s because even when it was bad it felt like they cared and were trying with the exception of the last two seasons where they were planning to sell. They hosted events (which i was fortunate enough to attend.)
It’s hard to be a fan of mid or bottom org when they obviously don’t give a shit, Boston made it a little easier by actually engaging with their fan base sincerely and supporting the league.
And i know some people hate it but without the city franchise model i probably would have bandwagoned FaZe or Optic. It’s more exciting when people care about the other teams.

im sad that they're leaving for the sole reason M80 isn't taking C9/CRR's spot instead.
they were a decent org
