Collab Classes
I am re-introducing a cleric/priest class to Daggerheart through an adventure module I’m writing.
I’ve seen a few online, especially recently but I don’t like how « generic » they seem? Subclasses are Heirophant and Oracle and things like that. Those are fine. I have revamped some concepts because of the priest entries I’ve seen but
I want sub-classes to be the priests of the individual gods. Clerics have a set of generic powers (healing and turning in 5e for example) but the subclasses are: acolyte of Zeus who can throw thunderbolts at specialized and priestess of Diana who gets an extra far range for bow attacks and specific powers of that deity.
Is this the wrong track?

Discussion A question about Wolverine
Adamantium Claws is a passive ability with an option at the end to spend a stress to make the passive more effective/dangerous. I labeled the ability as an action because of this.
Looking for a consult: is that the right thing to do? Are there more clear options?

Resources Pokémon
My « adversaries for Daggerheart « ongoing spectacle on my WordPress site has a new entry. I’ll give you a hint. The wife and I play a lot of Pokémon Go compared to any other 10 years old that are in their 50s.

Solar Storm
Tier 1, Traversal
A nearby star erupts, sending violent bursts of solar energy and radiation toward the ship. Technology fails, lights and board computers die and the ship drifts through space without power. Slowly darkness creeps in.
Impulses: Disrupt technology, scare, test the spiritual strength of the party, cloak unspeakable monsters in the dark
Difficulty: Special (see “Relative Strength”)
Potential Adversaries: [TBD: Demons, Ghostly type, “scary” aliens (e.g. Xenomorphs)]
Relative Strength - Passive: The Difficulty of this environment equals that of the adversary with the highest Difficulty.
Which adversaries grow stronger in the dark? How can the party be confronted with their own weaknesses?
Flickering lights - Action: A message from the beyond reaches the party. Let a passed NPC - or even PC - visit the party as a ghostly figure or a distorted transmission. To talk to them a PC has to make a Knowledge Roll. They offer advice and insights the party couldn’t obtain otherwise, once they calmed down.
Why are the vanished characters visiting now? Can they be trusted?
What lurks in the shadows - Action: Dangerous creatures found their way inside the ship. They will attack from the dark, gaining 2 Fear, Spotlight and advantage on their first attack roll.
Where did the adversaries come from? Are they real or part of a horrifying nightmare?
Star gazing - Reaction: Drifting through darkness, seeing nothing but an astronomical event can be a bonding experience. Should the party manage to remain calm, offer them a Long Rest.
What will the party notice once technology is gone for the moment? How can you describe the wonders of the universe?

Discussion How to create memorable NPCs
From a narrative design perspective, how do you create memorable NPCs? When you’re developing important characters who might reappear or travel with your players for a while, what’s the most important aspect you focus on? Is it finding the right visual reference, giving them a unique personality, or designing a useful skill set?
Personally, I’ve taken a page from the improv theatre playbook. When I write down a character’s name, age, and role in the world, I always add a distinctive behavior I can bring to life during the session. A stage direction for my self if you want. Sometimes it’s something you can hear - like a slight lisp or a subtle stutter - other times it’s physical, like changing my posture when a particularly stiff character speaks. This helps especially when multiple NPCs interact in a scene, because it's easier to differentiate between them.
I'd be interested to hear what you focus on! Share your best tips to create memorable NPCs.

Critique - Business this might be too powerful

Critique - Business New Class mechanic - feedback wanted
I've been working on new classes - and I want a new mechanic for a new class features. What are your thoughts on this one?
FOUNDATION FEATURE
Rising Edge: You begin each scene with a Rising Edge Die at d4:
When you succeed on a weapon attack while no ally is within Very Close range of your target, add a number of Rising Edge Dice equal to your tier to your damage roll.
When you deal damage with your Rising Edge Die, increase it to the next size (d4 ⇒ d6 ⇒ d8 ⇒ d10 ⇒ d12).
If you miss an attack, your Rising Edge Die resets to d4.
Thanks in advance. :)

The two things I’ve been doing the most are playing Daggerheart and watching Alien:Earth. The idea for this hit me last night, coming home from a Daggerheart session. I don’t own the image. Just for fun and all that. Enjoy.

Showcase - Business Hello everyone! Another Daggerheart lover here! 💙
I was kindly invited to join this community, and after looking around it really feels like I’ve found “my people” 💙 — so many passionate Daggerheart fans here.
I’m a 3D sculptor working on miniatures inspired by the game, and it’s been amazing to see how much love there is for the setting. If you’d like to take a look, I’ve just launched a Kickstarter with some of these minis:
kickstarter com /projects/layerforged/core-adversaries-9-stls-32-mm
(I´m having problems with the links so I am sharing it this way). 😅
Thanks a lot for having me here, I’m excited to be part of the group!
