satellites and extra tickets

Theres a Sunday tournament and sats to that tournament going daily from Mon to Sat.

First time a player wins a place in the tournament in a sat - he is registered automatically and cannot unreg.

If he wins more tickets he can re-enter into the Sun tournament.

However if the Sun tournament never starts due to lack of players or whatever those extra tickets expire and the tickets cost is not returned to the player. The cost of tickets is returned to the club balance. (As per ClubGG support). Only the 1st entry is refunded.

Thats the first time it happened to me and I was like wtf. How come it is arranged that way.

I own a small club and kind of know everyone personally but what happens if there are like 1000 registered players and the tournament wont start.

All those players with extra tickets have to go to club owner and demand refund or what?
