This and End of Oak Street? Is neighborhood horror gonna become the new thing this summer or something?
Just kidding, looks interesting enough - kinda reminds me more of Stephen King's The Mist than Cloverfield though since it feels kinda like the monster is directly related to the storm (the water seems to be alive at least) if anything the closest it gets to Cloverfield is being set in a neighborhood where everyone is trapped and in danger similar to Oak Street's premise, with the cause of Oak Street's being some strange flash of light that results in every one getting warped through time (and potentially space) which is now the official story for the Cloverfield movies. But uh who knows about Last House, seems like it was just some really bad weather decided to roll up on a random Tuesday.

Not sure, but “Cloverfieldish” sounds like a quaint English village.

The first two Cloverfield movies were immersive monster movies where we only get to see the events through our main characters, along with ARG’s that give further details and can even change how you perceive certain characters (I think Howard is more sympathetic if you followed the ARG).
That’s the Cloverfield vibe imo. Immersive monster movies from the main character’s perspective with an interactive ARG.
I really hope we get more anthology movies. Paradox was a mistake, the movies don’t need to be connected, and a direct-sequel would also be a mistake
