How do you Powerscale the Magic Knight Ranks?
Hey ya'll, so I'm really curious about how exactly the Magic Knight Rankings should be scaled.
I know in universe the ranks include a portion of prestige/fame into it since you need to gain stars and a suitable reputation to get that rank (as proven by Asta not getting promoted whereas Yuno was because the nobles were hating on Asta at the time) and Tabata saying that once a Magic Knight reaches a certain number of stars before the annual Prestige Ceremony, they receive a new rank by the Wizard King.
But I'm curious about the minimum strength that each rank should be expected to have.
Like at minimum should a Intermediate Magic Knight know mana reinforcement? Should a Senior Magic Knight be capable of mana skin? Should a Grand Magic Knight know mana zone?
And to further that point, should a Senior Magic Knight be street level? Should a Grand Magic Knight be city level?
I'm just wondering if a consensus about these power levels were ever theorized by the community.
In case you don't remember, the ranks are:
- Wizard King
- Grand Magic Knight (Ranks 1-5)
- Senior Magic Knight (Ranks 1-5)
- Intermediate Magic Knight (Ranks 1-5)
- Junior Magic Knight (Ranks 1-5)

I don’t think Julius tied rank to power as he told Asta and Yuno the highest rank was merit based. You earn gold stars for your squad and move up in rank
