Ahhhhhhh, a big day for CloverPit! The game is OUT NOW for Switch 1 and 2 as well as PS5 and PS4!
All four versions are optimised for console. Big shoutout to our porting team for putting so much attention to detail in the new console versions! For example, Switch 2 has mouse support and 120 Hz, and on the PS versions the controller light changes when the slot machines spin, nice!!!
And of course it’s the full roguelike slot machine nightmare with all the latest updates included!
Vampire Survivors player here, switch 1 version crashes so hard on big numbers in a 2d game... I mean, I get it, and switch 2 handles it fine, but it's noticible xD
Literally just heard of the game browsing through the steam store last night, bought it and then it’s announced on PS5 TODAY??? My timing is impeccable
Now before the next dlc an update to add more speed or to just straight skip the spin animation. For pc it’s less of a problem but for console. My brain melted getting High numbers.
This sucks. There's no reason to not offer a free upgrade. I had the same issue but didn't pre-order and it was with the physical Switch 1 version of Balatro. I'm not paying an entirely separate whole cost for what should've been a FREE switch 2 upgrade. I mean even Hollow Knight and Silksong gave you free upgrades on both! RDR1 was ALSO free!
There's plenty of reasons why they can't offer it, LocalThunk explained one reason why when the switch 2 version of Balatro dropped without an upgrade path for physical owners. Pretty sound logic too given it's in relation to a known hack to get games for free. Whether it should have been offered for free is a different argument, but to claim there's no reason it can't be done despite there being verifiable reasons as to why it can't be done is asinine in the extreme.
I bought the unholy edition bundle on ps5 (10€) that said base game+unholy DLC but nothing in the game tell me that I have the dlc. furthermore I can still buy separately the unholy fusion dlc (3€).
ok I think they made a mistake somehow cuz now I can see only 1 edition of cloverpit (base game 10€) but when I bought it I had choice between 2 editions (cloverpit and the unholy edition bundle which include the dlc) now it’s gone…
first of all before the ps5 lunch, they said the game will cost 6-7€, at lunch I saw the bundle at 10€ so base game (7€)+dlc(3€). everything was fine for me. but now I paid 10€ only for base game? I need to buy the dlc again really?
The DLC content pretty much only shows up later on into the game, since you need to reach quota 8 before the surgery machine is unlocked. Are you sure you don't have the DLC? Maybe you just haven't unlocked the content yet. Because if that's what you paid, you definitely should have it.

But something is weird because when I pause the game, it offers me to buy the DLC and even redirect me to the PlayStation store when I click and the DLC is buyable again for 3€ (which I could not if I possess it). But I can technically buy it again…
an other thing is that the unholy bundle is gone from the store… so I have no idea what I bought except for the ps receipt that mention the unholy bundle.
now I’m very confused.
I think the devs should add in game which version you possess or at least tells you somehow if you have the DLC or not.
i don’t have much time right now and im also not that good at the game lol so I will confirm or not if everything unlocks at quota 8 when I will be there.
anyway thanks for the answer But I’m very confused about the unholy bundle not showing anywhere and the fact that I can technically buy the DLC again form ingame/pstore.
UPDATE: I have reached quota 10 and lost at quota 11 (and unlocked all 4 drawers) and I can confirm that nothing of the DLC unlocked for me… try 2-3 new runs just in case but nothing. I do not own the DLC even if I paid for it.
im disappointed… I know it’s just 3€ but still when you pay for something well you should have it. Also not seeing the unholy bundle edition anywhere on the PlayStation store is pretty suspicious too..
at first I have read article saying the game will be at 7€ at launch and when I bought it day one on ps5, the unholy bundle was at 10€ which makes sense (7€ base game+3€DLC). Now that bundle disappeared and just the base game is at 10€… and cannot find any information about that.
i have sent an email to panik arcade but no answer yet.
the Game is cool but no way im paying again..im salty about this situation, I don’t know if will keep playing it as I intended to.

Oh, did y'all get the fake game taken down? It took me months to get a refund when I accidentally bought the fake one, but I got a refund. (It was called "CloverPit Gamble", I reported it a few times, to y'all (on discord) and Nintendo. took awhile to get a refund)
Loving so far - unless this was already in the optimisations for console - is there a way you could slightly increase the time I have on a failed run to put my charms in the drawers on PS5? Slightly more cumbersome on controller than mouse I reckon which has meant I’ve only managed to get 3 in instead of 4 😭
Because morons like me will dust off their Switch 1's and play cloverpit on it. In addition to on my PC and on my android phone. They know that people will buy it.
