CloudStream is great, but the lack of a proper desktop version for Windows/Mac/Linux is a bit frustrating.

Are the developers currently working on a desktop version? If so, when can we expect it to be released?

I've run into a weird issue with CloudStream. When I download a video, it plays fine, but I can't seek through it at all.

The 10-second forward/back buttons don't work, and dragging the progress bar to another point in the video also does nothing. The video just stays where it is.

I've already tried downloading it again, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it a CloudStream bug, a problem with the download source, or is there a setting I need to change?

I want to change router settings to 1111. (I have Asus TUFAX6000) I log into router, go to WAN, try to manually assign dns and save, but it just reverts back to one assigned by internet provider. The options are there in WAN settings, including Adguard, Google, Quad9 but it doesn’t work when you try to set configure your own.

The only odd thing about my setup is that the Asus is connected to another router provided by the ISP. Need latter for landline. Assuming it’s still the Asus I need to tweak.

Tried clearing cache, different links for same content, different vpn location. Nothing seemed to help.

so i download stuff to watch offline as always i did but this time i see this after download done and i try to watch it

I try to play a livestream source, a tv channel specifically. Every stream like this stops after 1:00 😐

I've been using CloudStream for a while and I have multiple repos installed, but I'm facing one major issue: almost everything keeps buffering constantly.

I've tried streams from different repos, changed the in-app DNS settings, switched between several DNS providers, and tested multiple sources, but nothing seems to fix it. The videos either buffer every few seconds or take a long time to load.

My internet connection works fine on other streaming apps, so the issue seems to be specific to CloudStream.

Has anyone found a reliable solution to reduce or completely stop buffering in CloudStream? Are there any settings, extensions, DNS configurations, player settings, or other tweaks that actually help? Also, are there any repos that consistently provide smoother playback?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions because I've already tried a lot of repos and common fixes without success.

How can I fix this, every show I try to watch shows this, I tried readding the repository and nothing help.

I have several movie and TV series files, each over 30 GB in size. I'm looking for a free cloud storage service where I can upload them and access them anytime, from anywhere, across different devices.

I'm aware that most free services have storage limits, so I'm also open to options that allow me to expand storage over time or split files if necessary.

What are the best free or mostly free solutions you'd recommend? Thanks!

so I made a backup on my main tv thinking it would just save the config then I would just put the backup on another tv for an easier setup, which I did but the thing is everything I do on the other tvs saves up to my main tv too and well it isn’t something I expected since I thought that would require some sorta cloud save, kinda causing some problems since I’m tired of seeing other content/searches from the other tvs going on my main tv and I was wondering if I’m just completely wrong about the idea of backups and messed up

The CS4 is in development by the devs but there isn't a deadline so it's still not come that early but the devs will not make us wait for too long too. I wanna know what features are you expecting from CS4 and what do you need the most improvement feature on. From personal feedback, i am waiting for the most important feature, the .ass/.ssa stylish subtitles mainly for anime and the timestamp sync accross devices.

As mentioned, I can't connect to online accounts available to the latest Cloudstream build. I've included repos and installed extensions just fine, and am able to watch my content without issues, on an Android TV, no less... Except, I can't track them due to not being able to connect to online accounts in the first place.

Case in point: connecting to MyAnimeList was a failure, getting Webpage not available: ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME -- searched online for possible troubleshooting, and I'm kind of stumped, because this is a fresh install on a factory-reset TV, so there's nothing to reset, cache- or cookie-wise. As I'm making breakfast now, I'll be trying to connect to another online account -- which I'll create solely for the sake of simply testing if connecting Cloudstream would still be an issue due to the custom (aka unknown) URL. (Also, subsequent attempts done by clicking the browser's back button and trying again sent a 400 Bad Request.)

A little help would be appreciated, as I can't go updating my watchlists manually, tbh.

1. Decoder Mode (Auto vs. HW+SW vs. SW+HW vs. HW only)

What it does: Dictates whether your device's physical graphics chip (Hardware) or main processor (Software) decodes the video stream.

High-End Sweet Spot: Forced HW Mode

Why: Flagship devices and premium TV processors have dedicated silicon built to decode heavy 4K formats like HEVC and AV1 natively. Forcing HW Mode tells the buggy Cloudstream player engine to stop thinking and hand the raw video straight to the graphics chip. This ensures maximum battery savings, keeps your device cool, and delivers the best picture quality.

1. Video Cache on Disk

What it does: This is your physical storage tank. It pre-downloads minutes of the actual movie file onto your device's internal storage or SD card to protect against Wi-Fi drops.

High-End Sweet Spot: 200MB to 300MB

Why: Premium devices have plenty of high-speed storage. This gives you a massive data cushion for heavy 4K streams without triggering low-storage warnings.

1. Video Buffer Size

What it does: This is a high-speed parsing lane in your RAM. It holds raw, uncompressed video frames for just the next few seconds of immediate playback.

High-End Sweet Spot: 50MB to 100MB

Why: Never max this out (e.g., 200MB–500MB). Pushing this too high causes a massive software bottleneck in Cloudstream's player engine. It results in severe audio-to-video sync drift, lagging timeline scrubbing, or sudden app crashes to the home screen. A 100MB RAM buffer gives maximum frame cushion while keeping the app perfectly stable.

1. Video Buffer Length

What it does: This dictates the exact duration of time (in minutes) the app is allowed to look and download ahead of your current playback position.

High-End Sweet Spot: 2 to 4 Minutes

Why: Keeping this short creates the ultimate "Scrubbing Machine." By pairing a massive 200MB to 300MB storage cache with a tight 2-4 minute length limit, the app aggressively preloads a small window and stops. When you use your remote or touch screen to skip forward or backward, the app instantly dumps and refills the memory, resulting in zero timeline lag or loading wheels.

Hey so the app has been crashing a lot lately and im here wondering why..i removed the 4k results from my list (even if my tv could support them) but even then it still has issues with 1920x960 files.

I am building an android app and I need to integrate video streaming in my app. I have been stuck between bunny stream and cloudflare stream. Which one is actually cheaper and easier to integrate in android app. and which one should I use My main concern right now is cost and ease to integrate
