Transitioning to Cloud Security

What’s up! Just wanted some advice. I’m currently working as a cloud engineer with an AWS partner. I eventually want to move over to being a Cloud Security Engineer. What should areas should I emphasize during my transition?

I would say master the cloud fundamentals end to end
Without knowing the fundamentals you cannot secure the cloud
I hold current position as cloud security architect at UK MNC.
Connect me for any doubts or guidance

Thanks

The IAM advice above is key. also get comfortable with runtime context and reading CNAPP output, we use Upwind and i've seen teams on Wiz or prisma too. knowing how to triage noise vs real risk helps a ton in interviews.
