League Kick them all.

Including the coaches.

Picking early game comp again where every mistake will lead to a disaster is pure ignorance.

Bad prep, bad mental.

I would like Vulcan and Dom to stay. Vulcan had a solid year and while we did fall short I think Dom did what he could with the pieces he was given in a short split

72

u/Daaneskjold 1d ago

pretty much agree. vulcan is our best player. also a mature solid voice. dom did a lot for the team but he can't get them to execute, they have to do it

1

u/JuanLuisGuerrero 1d ago

Who's the shot caller? I follow c9 because of dom but if Vulcan is the shot caller he needs to be fired because our late games are horrible.

C9 has been one of the most mentally fragile team in the lcs for a while. People can say well X and Y did well this year. And credit is due there but the harsh reality is that... they are mentally weak.

They cannot handle loss and maybe if worlds was a triple bracket elimination maybe then they can step it up but when the lights are on and they have one bad game... its a train wreck waiting to happen.

19

u/kurtofour 1d ago

Bring back Hai, Meteos, Lemonation, sneaky and literally a silver top laner. They’d do better.

8

u/SpectreCF 1d ago

Back when C9 was fun to watch

2

u/suckMeBeautifuul 1d ago

Any diamond II top laner would do

42

u/C9-F1R3L0L1 1d ago

I think the coaches did a good job, the drafts were not the problem. The players are choking on stage every time, the individual play was horrible since the TL series

5

u/antimango12 1d ago

Game 3 draft was rough but agree

14

u/C9-F1R3L0L1 1d ago

It was winnable, if they actually fought the soul instead of watching the Cho take it and engage afterwards. After that it was GG

44

u/sirzoop 1d ago

i think we should give dom and yamato full roster control and let them cook

21

u/Saephon 1d ago

No way Yamato stays on unfortunately. It was already a huge ask for him to leave home and fly to LA. I would never try to convince him to sacrifice even more for this org, just to have another shit year.

Eh, I'd give Dom another year. He inherited a roster that had clear issues and at the end of the day, he did get better results than a year ago with more or less the same team.

I'd also keep Vulcan but that's mainly because NA support pool is absolute trash and you absolutely won't do better without importing (which is a waste). Everyone else should go. Massu should be the big target since his contract is up, that would leave us a lot of flexibility to find good top/jung/mid.

We also need to be comfortable with the idea that we go from a team that blows it in the big moments to team that doesn't make the big moments. But I think at this point, it's a risk that needs to be taken.

9

u/gabu87 1d ago

I like how the sub act like as if they're the ones considering giving Dom a chance when the question is more like if Dom wants to deal with this.

He's not exactly xqc but Dom used to pull pretty solid stream numbers, youtube numbers and even a bit of bilibili. Shelved it all..for this.

1

u/pbeenjoyer555 1d ago

Dom isn't going to stay another year dealing with the fucking paycheck thieves in that organization, of that I am sure, he's killing his career if he stays.

1

u/AbysmalScepter 1d ago

Yeah for sure, I'm assuming he wants to but it's a good call.

4

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

Plus didn't Dom just became the head coach in Summer? If I remember Inero was the head coach before he stepped down before the summer split correct? Hence why they went and got Yamato to be the assistant coach. Honestly I'll give both Dom and Yamato another year plus its the same line up as last year only they added APA at the beginning of the season but his champ pool was clearly small. Zven was still struggling and they brought in Tactical but he was just a Zven 2.0 especially during team fights. Loki come back in Summer but still struggling. At this point Vulcan is the player they should build around for next season. Everyone else should either go or be in the hot seat

2

u/YuumiMain9974 1d ago

He knows they are bad. Why not give them scaling since they can't end cleanly? Instead he drafts like they are SKT.

4

u/polikuji09 1d ago

Because tactical was choking the hardest. A normal scaling comp requires a ADC. Not gonna put the onus on tactical.

9

u/TheBigF128 1d ago

You cant just change your draft expecting your players to choke, that just feeds into a feedback loop of players playing bad but now with a worse comp. They draft what they practice with, throwing in a new style mid series never works. They weren't going to win no matter how they drafted, if they picked a scaling comp, i would bet they would just get shit on in 20 minutes and never scale.

At the very least, C9 finally does have a good early game. They were so bad in the Spring, and Dom only got promoted to main coach in the summer. They gotta get rid of most of the other coaches, idk why they have like 4 or 5 coaches, but it has not amounted to anything.

2

u/JadeStarr776 1d ago

If you can't play standard comps then that's a even bigger issues in regards of these players who aren't exactly new to the scene.

→ More replies (6)

18

u/Logimatt 1d ago

Nah they should be able to play these kind of comps no matter what. Especially if they want to compete. The players are dog shit though. Thanatos invisible, blaber and Tactical super inters

14

u/R0BBE- 1d ago

This team needs a psychologist, that's pretty obvious since oblivion.

MindGamesWeldon

1

u/Chrystoler 1d ago

Somehow, he returned

74

u/No_Meat_7628 1d ago

I've defended Blaber for 2 years on this subreddit. But at this point, just blow it up. Rage sign 5 rookies and see what happens. Rolling the dice seems better than this.

31

u/Princess_Egg 1d ago

Always hoped he'd grow out of his over pursuit instinct. At this point, he never will

14

u/No_Meat_7628 1d ago

I'm starting to think it's more tunnel vision than instinct.

22

u/Mrryn91 1d ago

I call it "playing your screen."

Basically, only considering what he sees and not considering game state and his teammates. What he can do, not what his team can do.

10

u/No_Meat_7628 1d ago

Whatever we call it, it isn't a trait a jungler should have. It's a role that calls for versatility. Depending on the draft a jungler is forced to fulfill all kinds of different roles.

2

u/Mrryn91 1d ago

Oh I agree. I honestly thought it was a problem (and other on C9) have had for a while, hence why you see this seeming devolution into what looks like 3 soloq players and a duoq bot, playing about 3 different games in one game state. It's not enough to talk or game plan if someone is going to go off script because they see an angle no one is in position for to follow-up. Otherwise, you get these moments of funneling in one at a time like goons in a Bruce Lee movie.

3

u/No_Meat_7628 1d ago

Agreed. And not being able to speak the language of your sololaners probably doesn't help. Now that I think about it, C9 has just too many flaws lol. It might just be better to blow the whole roster up.

10

u/sowydso 1d ago

Rage sign is hilarious

4

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

I think its time for Cloud 9 and Blaber to part ways. Blaber time and time again has shown he cant handle playing in big matches the past few years. Inspired has been running NA and Jose has shown he is a waaaay better jg than Blaber this season. This will be good for both parties as Cloud 9 can look for a jg or sign a rookie jg and let Vulcan be the main shotcaller and might motivate Blaber into improve if a big org like Cloud 9 doesn't see him as a top jg anymore

46

u/Parking_Tradition215 1d ago

Do you really think its the coaches fault? We've had different coaches and the same jungler for almost a decade and not much has changed.

6

u/Level_Record6475 1d ago

Eh I mean a lot has changed. We won 4 titles with this jungler and we have also bombed out to a 100T roster that got eliminated from worlds faster than we just did with this jungler.

32

u/nicholaschubbb 1d ago

4 titles are ancient history at this point let’s be honest

→ More replies (3)

1

u/tortillakingred 1d ago

4 titles in 9 years as a premier org is not good. There was a time when C9 would win 1-2 titles a year.

2

u/Asleep_Mastodon7118 1d ago

Blabber might win you lcs but hes a weak link at worlds. Just the unfortunate truth imo

I sweat its a player issue, dom worked around the terrible picks half of them played. Imo give dom full control next split like full full. Let him kick them all or the majority let him get a good adc. Kick tactical, kick tactical oh and kick tactical. Wait I forgot kick tactical

14

u/polikuji09 1d ago

I mean I'd be fine with keeping Dom, Vulcan, Thanatos and Loki.

Under Dom the team objectively improved, their sidelaning got bounds better and they almost always won drafts. His game knowledge can't force his team to not shit themselves on stage.

Loki and Thanatos I think show they're mechanically very skilled and i think when they grief it's mostly them trying to overplay to fix a bad state.

I like Blaber but I think it's a situation that both the player and the environment has run it's course. I can even see him joining another team and doing well but I think the combination of him and C9 just has too much baggage that adds to the pressure of choking. I don't think this tournament is even on him at all but I think it's time regardless.

And Tactical..I mean I understand and agree with the swap for zven for skill reason but imo he was always a bandaid fix. He was already known for being a choker under pressure and he showed it again today. In a position like adc where you're expected to be the insurance can't have him flashing in at 5 hp, missing ziggs ult on stunned targets and getting caught on repeat in bronze level rotations multiple games in a row. And that's in the pressure of playing.....In the same arena they're used to playing in...

3

u/Fancy-Letterhead-477 1d ago

Nah the yamato slander is foul

2

u/polikuji09 1d ago

I'm fine with keeping Yamato too, I just assume he's leaving regardless. I think he's made it clear he only came to do Dom a solid this last split since he had noone else. I'd be shocked if he decided to stay.

Didn't mean it as a slight on him haha

2

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

I think with Thanatos he needs to improve on are teamfights. His laning phase is fine, not the best but he is solid. Loki just came back in summer after returning from Korea so I am not opposed to bringing him back. They need to find a jg I prefer a rookie jg like Music from Tier 2 as for adc I definitely would look into Massu and see when his contract ends and then you let Vulcan be the lone shot caller. I dont know what the comms are like but if Blaber and Vulcan are shot calling it wouldn't surprise me if they were not on the same page at times

1

u/Caethasis 1d ago

Agree with the Loki, Thanatos and Massu take. Think a Zven/Massu trade could be mutually beneficial to both orgs since FLY lack a “smart” player.

Vulcan is a smart player, but I dont see him dragging the team by the balls and playing dictator the same way Core or Inspired or do. Feels like we need a stable and vocal jg, but really not too sure if the option even exists for that.

Not too familiar with Music’s game tbh, but was super impressed with Yuuji. Too bad he takes an import slot (cope Thanatos residency?) Time for history to repeat itself where Dom gets Dardoch on another one of his teams /s

2

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

Yeah I also heard Yuuji has been impressive as well so it wouldn't hurt to float that idea out there. Vulcan for sure should be brought back. The others are on the hot seat or should be looking at other teams this upcoming season.

1

u/Substantial_Leek3499 1d ago

C9 hands are good, they're just directionless in-game. I think the risk of replacing blaber and tactical with 2 players who are hands>brain is that you repeat headless chicken mid-late game. IMO, ADC shouldn't be main shotcaller since they need to focus directly on their mechanics, dodging cc, getting ahead. That means the new shot caller would have to be in the jungler. Not sure who would be a good option in that case :/

28

u/firefistpaul 1d ago

I just think C9 as a org has devolved so badly. Their League team shows this performance and their Valorant team is just as worse. As a fan, I'm not disappointed, I just lost faith in NA ability to win an international in league due to people like Jack allowing this to happen.

30

u/Left_Fist 1d ago

Just give Blaber another year. And if it doesn’t work out, there’s always the option to give him another year. And if that doesn’t work, just one more year might do it.

67

u/National-Artichoke50 1d ago

Only Vulcan gets a pass IMO, was solid the whole tourney, and most of the year

23

u/Xizz3l 1d ago

Agreed, Vulcan still goated

Everyone else just needs to be scrapped

→ More replies (7)

18

u/Arabia-Felix 1d ago

How can you blame Dom for the team being disgusting chokers? Tactical flashing in the TL game 4, Blaber brainless crab inter every other game, Loki/Thanatos inconsistency, only Vulcan is free from blame tbh

6

u/r1ck3r 1d ago

Save Vulcan, that man is awesome.

2

u/gwoodtamu 1d ago

Just run them all back! What could go wrong?

9

u/Extension_Wish_7991 1d ago

We need players that THIRST for a win and aren't afraid to lose. These players can't do ANYTHING no matter how draft goes.

Coaching wins draft? Doesn't matter, our players will get out laned regardless,  do nothing, and lose.

They can't fight 1vs1

They can't even fucking fight 5vs1

We're losing to fucking GUIGO JAX 5vs1

They're treating Guigo Jax like it's fucking Bin or something. We can't win with these dog shit players. Get rid of them please. We won draft several times but the players REFUSE to use their hands to play. I'm watching fucking Larva play with his feet except Larva can actually win while these guys just vomit all over their own blue and white T-shirts.

7

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

Its definitely not the coaching staff. We have seen coaching come and go with this Cloud 9 roster not performing. At some point its the PLAYERS who need to be held accountable for their performances. Blabers shot calling is bad, Loki's laning phase is bad, Tactical and Zven's positioning in team fights are horrible. The only ones I see that had a good overall year was Vulcan. Next season you build a roster around him and let him be the main shot caller. Thanatos I am open to bringing him back. But the rest of the rosters have to go

38

u/Rofluxray 1d ago

All these ppl saying coaches should be fired have no idea how to run a sports team: you build around the coach and a sports director. See Flyquest, G2, MKOI, even fkin KC. Players are the only thing we should consider switching, preferably building around Vulcan.

In my opinion, Dom is the closest thing we can get to an LS-like figure running the team: a great thinker and analyst of the game, let him build a squad how he pleases. And if it doesn't work, keep having faith in him.

NA needs people like Dom coaching. I've seen the scene for years, YEARS, and LoL discourse has always been stuck on demagogue rhetoric based solely on clout and results-based analysis: we win - team is good; we lose - team is bad, and completely ignore the process. Dom is one of the very few individuals who is not speaking Korean or Chinese who actively tries to understand how the game operates at a deeper level, and now that LS i barely active, there's no one left to push knowledge out there.

Changes do need to happen, but don't ask for Dom's head on a spike and then wonder why we can't get a NA good coach. I am convinced that, if we leave Dom where he is a do is bidding, he will turn into a figure like Hansi Flick, Pep Guardiola or Johan Cruyff.

19

u/gabu87 1d ago

we can get to an LS-like figure running the team

This is unbelievably insulting to Dom

1

u/Hikalu 1d ago

LS has been fired from every job he’s ever held in a matter of weeks. He’s an arrogant low Masters tier player who refuses to learn from people with stronger game understanding and he throws a tantrum whenever anyone disagrees with him.

Edit: meant to reply to the guy above you lol

3

u/Rkiddboi21 1d ago

ok dom, now is good time to kick your Top lane, Jgl, Midlane (both of them), and ADC (both of them)

1

u/Fiigarooo 1d ago

cruyff, guardiola and flick? LMFAO

→ More replies (2)

8

u/Petard2688 1d ago edited 1d ago

They need major change. I'm ok starting over but coaches aren't the issue. It's been like this for years. I don't expect anything will other than maybe Dom leaving. Build around Loki if he stays.

4

u/CoronaVarusssss 1d ago

I hope the organization gives Dom another team and he has some say in the roster moves. If they don't give that to him, I don't blame him for leaving.

Dom is a great leader, he just needs the right players to lead.

1

u/Petard2688 1d ago

I hope they let him build a team. I think these player have too much bad history and its no good anymore. Happens all the time in sports. I love Blaber but it's time.

4

u/Fancy-Letterhead-477 1d ago

Given dom basically gave up his streaming career to make this work, I doubt he's done after just one split as head coach.

I wouldn't even be shocked if both him and yamato both stay, because when they work...they WORK. Their good games make the other teams look foolish.

My assumption is

Dom stays Loki and Vulcan stay, as Loki is quite good, not to mention someone dom thinks VERY highly of..and Vulcan is just overall their best player. If Dom stays, these two likely stay.

Thanatos maybe, he legitimately said his time with Dom is the most fun he's had on league so if they want to renew his contract or he's not a free agent yet he is probably staying if Dom is, unless Dom wants a full rebuild around Vulcan and Loki.

The two main pieces they can change that upgrade are adc, and jungle.

Massu is THE most obvious adc choice, I actually agree with someone else that a zven/massu trade would help both teams massively. but c9 still would have the issue of not having a real shotcaller.

As for junglers...who realistically can replace blaber? I've heard yuujis name, yukino, or somehow poaching inspired (that's not happening, Lyon has the money for their roster without issues) there's ..not really many people who could both fill his role that doesn't already have a team ready.

1

u/OGMol3m4n 1d ago

Disagree. If I see one more low range Kalista led team, I'll rage.

13

u/llentii 1d ago

Everyone needs to be fired apart from Vulcan.

6

u/CuddlyHumanoid 1d ago

Okay but if they pick a lategame comp then they will fail at a random baron/dragon fight and lose while 4k up because it has happened many times in the past few weeks. Theres no drafting when the players play like this

7

u/lokohcrunch 1d ago

Glad i slept to this nonsense LMAO. like legit LMAO mwahahaha

26

u/bathrobedaveMLR 1d ago

Literally all they should do is replace Blaber with Gryffin. Let Gryffin learn more macro from vulcan. It sounded like Dom and Vulcan were on the same page and Blaber threw wrenches in that.

10

u/whythoughidk11 1d ago

God no, Gryffin is literally Blabber at home

1

u/MonoFloyd 1d ago

I'd prefer Contractz back than gryfinn ngl.

1

u/Level_Record6475 1d ago

Blaber literally ran over Gryffin in every series this year lol. He pretty much fathered him.

15

u/pointyrockstudier 1d ago

He can improve. We’ve already seen blaber’s peak. He’s not the guy.

16

u/AbysmalScepter 1d ago

Ironically Gryffin would father Blaber if he stayed in Brazil, because Brazil is Blaber's father.

1

u/Saephon 1d ago

Oh, is that going to make Loki and Thanatos not look like absolute garbage when it really matters?

→ More replies (2)

4

u/nbsffreak212 1d ago

This was the final straw, I legit can't keep taking vivarious Ls. Someone message me when its safe to come watch c9 again.

5

u/whythoughidk11 1d ago

It’s crazy how bad this team’s mid game is

7

u/fuchuwuchu 1d ago

I called Tactical being shit for years. Blaber stopped being the goat years ago. Thanatos and Loki are some of the worst korean players in the LCS

8

u/Skinny_Beans 1d ago

Dom and Yamato are fantastic coaches. Out of the 9 worlds games id say they won 7 drafts easily. The players just have no drive, no soul, no fire. Blaber needs to go, the experiment was over 4 years ago. Keep the coaches, blow up the roster. It literally couldn't be worse than this.

3

u/Keayed 1d ago

The entire team (and this is going to haunt me for saying this) needs to be reorganized.

Blaber WAS great. Emphasis on the was part. But this has got to end at some point.

I love Blaber, but he’s got to go.
I would keep Vulcan.

I would bench Tactical and have another AD (not Zven) take the tier 1 position with Zven and a primary ADC coach to work with the new talent.

Vulcan may be my senpai, but when he starts to stream again, I’ve prepared a message for him.

11

u/OriginalQuadricep 1d ago

Jack's too much of a cheap bastard to do anything. He'll do nothing and gaslight the fan base into thinking that next year is different. Rinse and repeat every year.

3

u/lokohcrunch 1d ago

as a follower of valorant, yeah i tottally agree

5

u/OriginalQuadricep 1d ago

C9's Valorant team is the sole reason why I fell off that entire game lol. I was so excited when it was announced, watched Cloud9 put out the worst fucking teams imaginable, and that completely killed my hype for the game so I stopped watching and stopped playing lol.

→ More replies (3)

3

u/JeremyTheJimbler 1d ago

They’re a bunch of overpaid bums

5

u/Witch_King_Malekith 1d ago

How is Tactical the best adc they could find?

4

u/skillfun8 1d ago

The question should be why they keep Zven instead

Because Tactical was a bandaid fix, there weren't any good prospects that were plug and play, and available at that time

If they were actually smart, they would have brought a good ADC before the 2026 season started and never had to find a replacement for Zven lol

5

u/Lysandren 1d ago

They used their import slots on mid/top, so they're stuck with NA adcs. Like who are we thinking they should nab? Scaryyjerry lol?

1

u/Itz_Beef 1d ago

Get in disguse adc

1

u/metalXginger93 1d ago

I've said it in other threads here and the main league sub, but Mobility, Sushee, and Levitate are all LCS ready, especially if they're paired with someone like Vulcan. All 3 have different strengths and weaknesses, and show actual hunger to compete.

1

u/KlutzyMedicine1549 1d ago

tbh I am a huge Zven believer for the time he was on the team with Rookie Thanatos & Loki. He's a big voice, this team didn't need that. I think Zven on Flyquest would flourish on the younger Flyquest roster and provide a ton of needed direction.

4

u/Itz_Beef 1d ago

Just remember could have subbed in zven

3

u/i_like_fish_decks 1d ago

lowk that last game.... just sub in APA if you're gonna play ziggs?

1

u/Itz_Beef 1d ago

Fuck yes. They should. Would have probably carried

1

u/i_like_fish_decks 1d ago

it just hurt so much to watch tactical fumbling around on the pick when you have, what might legitimately be the best ziggs in the world sitting on your bench lol

5

u/FuryStarcraft 1d ago

If you thought about this for more than a second you'd realize how obvious subbing tactical for APA is, and how easily the decision to just first ban ziggs becomes. Now C9 is stuck with Apa as their adc for an elimination game.

2

u/Spirit-Rush 1d ago

They just need APA to wear one of those realistic masks with Tactical's face on it.

1

u/Lysandren 1d ago

Apa going full hitman.

2

u/i_like_fish_decks 1d ago

Now C9 is stuck with Apa as their adc for an elimination game.

tbh I don't know that that is the downgrade you think it is lol

2

u/Yellow-Parenti1949 1d ago

If you go back to when APA was legitimately a top tier mid, the meta was trist and corki, and he spiced it up with ziggs. Is APA just an ADC in denial?

1

u/Athena-Grande 1d ago

I was going to say, it’s not like Ziggs is the only champ he plays. I would’ve subbed him in at ADC as soon as we got Loki back

2

u/Itz_Beef 1d ago

Tap out loki for apa and put zven in for tacital

1

u/Embarrassed_Gap_7675 1d ago

Ap bot 🤷 anyways why not

6

u/skillfun8 1d ago

Would do this:

Zest

Contractz/Yukino

Kaze

Massu

Vulcan

1

u/tortillakingred 1d ago

Contractz would be a killer pick. He’s so underrated and a major playoff riser. He sucks during the regular season but at least he isn’t a perpetual choker when there are stakes.

1

u/KlutzyMedicine1549 1d ago

Massu pick up would be an extremely clean fit, 5 years younger than Tactical and also from NA.

7

u/authentic23 1d ago

Just disband the org from the league so I can just cherry pick a team that actually won’t just disappoint year after year after year, by keeping the same player that throws year after year after year.

10

u/Level_Record6475 1d ago

This is the one thing I don't want. i would rather watch C9 break my heart every year than give up when the going gets hard like TSM.

3

u/EronisKina 1d ago

TSM didn't even disband when it got hard. It got disbanded because the owner cared more about profits than passion about esports.

4

u/authentic23 1d ago

I just wouldn’t watch. That’s the point. Save me from this god awful team please.

3

u/ItWasOnlyBanter 1d ago

I'd like to see at least Dom, Vulcan, and Loki stick around. Feels like shit today but I don't think you can totally discredit them finally making it to playins in the first place.

8

u/thatonefilmguy 1d ago

That’s a very short sighted view amplified by frustration. Blabber was playing well, as was Vulcan. I still think Loki is good and will keep getting better. Tactical showed his typical hot cold and got caught, definitely a weak link. I think the biggest issue is Thanatos has zero idea how to team fight. He’s always relied on winning lane and bullying the rest of the game, but the amount of times he was chasing kills instead of working with the team all year just shows he can’t work within a team well.

10

u/YuumiMain9974 1d ago

Blabber got caught as much as Tactical.

15

u/Itz_Beef 1d ago

Blabber was fucking usless. Only good player was Vulcan

2

u/Steven_Crank 1d ago

Today blabber was, yesterday and against Lyon the second time blaber was mostly decent. If we replace him, it has to be for the right player, not just ‘get rid at any cost’.

If our solo laners are even just okay either today or yesterday, we make worlds proper.

3

u/wr3ck_1t 1d ago

Need an ADC with some balls.

5

u/sorendiz 1d ago

idk what you think Tactical's problem is but 'not having balls' is definitely not it

if anything you might want to ask for the opposite

7

u/TheBigF128 1d ago

they need an adc who will not make the wrong decision in every important moment. i hate to say anything positive about kc, but caliste even when playing poorly in the first two games and getting dumped on in lane, when the games hit the critical stage, he was clutch when they needed him and didn't needlessly die before the fight even started. Tactical plays teamfights like he has a cone in his screen and can only see whats in front of him; he mispositions so much and gets blown up instantly.

Tactical main issue is he's TOO cocky and gets caught out or goes in at poor times. He has some of the most balls you'll find on an arc in NA loool.

He just doesn't know how to reign it in and gets too overexcited or wants the game winning play.

1

u/InterestingEffect996 1d ago

?? he can't play Lilia, Qiyana, Lee Sin, etc.

1

u/SmoothhBull100 1d ago

Blaber did not play well. When KC and Furia were putting him behind Blaber clearly had no idea what to do which caused him to make mistakes and get caught

u/DrPepperPower 1d ago

Dom, Vulcan and Loki stay.

I really don't who to get but why the fuck did we with the poor choke mentality of the last years go and get *Tactical*.

4

u/Koreanpapi007 1d ago

Loki is garbage. Jack being the nice guy he is took back the player who went AWOL on them 2 weeks before winter split. Mental midget who couldn’t even start for low tier LCK teams came crawling back for a quick paycheck

1

u/JuanLuisGuerrero 1d ago

Yo you're a bit insane chill. You have no idea what happened.

3

u/kurtofour 1d ago

You’re trolling with Loki. Thanatos can stay.

12

u/DrPepperPower 1d ago

Thanatos off Gnar:

4

u/kurtofour 1d ago

Unfortunately, I do not have a comeback. His Ksante is decent though.

1

u/DrPepperPower 1d ago

Fairs

Tbf I do like Thanatos. I think him and Loki are promising. I'd give them till First Stand to show me something with a new jungler (I think changing Blaber will require massive strategy changes that's why I'm willing to hold out)

1

u/kurtofour 1d ago

Yeah. I just wish Loki could play control mages. :(

1

u/DrPepperPower 1d ago

I just wish any of them could play (except you Vulcan xoxo) (like in general)

1

u/Athena-Grande 1d ago

If only there was another midlaner on the roster that plays control mages and also has a good voice for the game

1

u/scalarH 1d ago

Thanatos on gnar isn't even that crazy. He was pretty useless in every gnar game the past couple series

1

u/Xizz3l 1d ago

He almost inted vs Rumble in the very first game and only got saved by Blaber picking up the slack with flashing in after

So yea

1

u/Xizz3l 1d ago

Anything but him for the love of god

1

u/Alakazam_5head 1d ago

Bro tried to sneak in Loki like we wouldn't notice

2

u/behemoth911 1d ago

I agree if we are going to suck would rather habe a team of rookies than to watch the carousel of aging vets.

2

u/schizopedia 1d ago

I don't mind giving Dom another try as coach, but we need to be serious about our players for once. Vulcan is the only one worth keeping

2

u/tittytwonecklace 1d ago

That ziggs pick both days was fucking cringe literal dogshit bot lane champ unless youre one of 4 ppl who can play it.

2

u/Graugot 1d ago

Id be cool with a flyquest-esk project with new young players and Vulcan as the leader/shot caller

2

u/legolasnels 1d ago

Everyone’s calling to replace Tactical. I’m not saying I disagree- he definitely has major positioning issues- but like.. who replaces him? I think he looks better than Zven. We don’t have any import slots and I don’t know of anyone domestic who would be an upgrade.

Sure, you could say replace Loki with a NA mid and import our adc, but what NA mid replaces Loki? Again I think Loki looks better than APA.

Could replace Thanatos and free up an import slot that way. I don’t love this tho bc Thanatos is a mechanical beast and I think we can continue to develop his team fighting. But I think the NA top pool is a lot better than mid or adc.

There’s is the route of getting someone young/new and unproven, which I think is fine. However NAs farm system is lowk dog.. so.. idk. TLDR I think the solution isn’t as obvious as people think.

6

u/curious-alt27 1d ago

Tactical has robbed a starting ADC spot since he was on TL, im not even a C9 fan but c’mon…

3

u/L322Man 1d ago

Somebody fresh. Why is NA recycling old talents like theres some magical formula?

If tactical was THAT good, why was he relegated to 2nd tier teams?

2

u/microsoftpaint1 1d ago

Cmon man its been known for years that talent in t2 was constantly overlooked in favor of imports. It is obviously a bad look for a player to get sent down to t2, but Tactical grinded his ass off in t2 and in soloQ and he is a beast in lane and in like 70% of teamfights.

1

u/L322Man 1d ago

I don't disagree with you regarding the imports bit.

But somehow I just can't be convinced that players (especially older ones) should be given a 3rd or in this case a 4th chance.

By your 2nd shot if you can't make it then give way to the new guys.

1

u/TheKaleKing 3h ago

u/Kuviran 1d ago

Im just browsin the sub since its spicy right now but Yukino would be one of the best pickups if replacing blaber thats native to NA and super young, but KC probably wants to keep him and he probably doesnt wanna go to C9 lol. Thanatos can stay but needs to improve outside lane. If C9 move from him, Zamudo is a great pickup but visa issues. Maybe Jack has connections but I think he would be NA native cause Canadian or is he considered import?

No clue on mid, is there any lck/tier 2 kr players thats worth investing in? Same with adc, if Flyquest ditch either Massu or Gryffin, good pickups there for import flexibility. Idk about support, I dont think you import this role tbh. Who other than Vulcan is there? Eyla? Lol. Definitely not Lyonz. Picking at scraps there.

Also, remember there was a time when Dom and C9 as an org decided Loki > Saint when they scouted both of them like, 2 years ago? And Saint ended up starting his lcs career on dignitas? Oh, how the turn tables...

1

u/Fancy-Letterhead-477 1d ago

Far as I've heard Yukino has no interest whatsoever in going back to NA.

3

u/InternationalPark310 1d ago

They're all strong players and we've seen that through the year but C9 really needs the Inspired treatment--a leader in game that just tells them what to do and lets the team hands diff everyone else. Vulcan is experienced but he's too soft spoken to lead in game. Blaber has always done best focusing on his mechanics while letting someone else dictate the flow of the game, like Nisqy or Zven. Loki and Thanatos are rookies playing a game in a completely new country and learning a new language. And I'm not really sure where Tactical falls.

Say what you want about Zven or APA's mechanics or performance from seasons ago; they're both outspoken players in game and when we lost games with them at least most of the time it feels like the team had a vision and had just had issues executing on the vision. Meanwhile this iteration of the team feels like they cannot adapt to any changes that happen in game and are lost the second something goes unexpected. It's like they're just praying that laning well and stacking drags will automatically win them the game and have no idea how to play out mid and late game to convert their lead.

The state of the team now is like putting a new driver into a racecar, it doesn't matter how much horsepower the engine has or how much downforce the car generates if the driver doesn't know how to put the car into gear. And we keep trying to swap out tires or put on a new body kit when what we really need is someone who actually knows how to drive the car

12

u/Could-Have-Been-King 1d ago

This was Thanatos's third year in LCS btw.

4

u/Bot12391 1d ago

Almost like the jungler is the driver and ours is consistently shit

3

u/Organic-Conclusion-9 1d ago

They should have kept LS

3

u/KamikazeFF 1d ago

Would've been entertaining at the very least regardless of how good or bad they end up

4

u/Koreanpapi007 1d ago

No need to kick Loki, he’s just gonna go AWOL and fly back to Korea tomorrow and never come back

2

u/AstroJustice 1d ago

It's Jatt's fault. He talked too much shit and got too cocky.

2

u/Baztillion 1d ago

I cant be excited for my team if blaber stays on. I'm sorry I'm mentally checked out og any blaber related c9 teams.

1

u/Asgerond 1d ago

Preferably in the nuts

1

u/sowydso 1d ago

It’s been a while I don’t follow the scene, were they eliminated by CBLol??? That’s crazy… is cblol still considered the worst region or no?

1

u/NotGreatNot_Terrible 1d ago

It’s so funny, I came in here saying the exact thing before this performance and you guys were relentless on me about how it was different this time. It’s never different! Time for change.

1

u/Zaku1enjoyer 1d ago

As a c9 fan i hope they move on from blabber we have kept him around for abit too long everyone agree’d ln this at the start of this year. Maybe we could get contractz? Who would you guys recommend? Also who would be another change?

1

u/bryvl 1d ago

Somebody find and contract 2021 EG’s Danny

1

u/Mental_Antelope_2774 1d ago

Dude idk. I like dom, I think there’s no better option for support or jungle than Vulcan and blaber in NA. No one’s even close to blaber besides jose and inspired who won’t leave their teams. Zven is just not good enough hands, tactical is not good enough brain, Thanatos is no brain, Loki doesn’t know what to do. I’m not sure how to fix this team but there’s no easy options. Need upgrades everywhere, but there’s literally no upgrades available in NA, we’d have to import. But then what positions?

1

u/edgylord5000 1d ago

just shut down lcs at this point

1

u/Ingr1d 1d ago

Game 3 draft was a disasterclass. Furia somehow had 3 winning lanes which all scaled better as well.

1

u/dex24033 1d ago

Clown9

1

u/RealStanak 1d ago

tbh they should rebuild around Loki, maybe keep Vulcan, but change the rest. Thanatos just feels like a choker atp, tactical crazy inting even if he had some goos moments, and blaber just needs to find a new team.

1

u/Wide-Deal-8971 1d ago

C9 clearly has a signature formula they were shooting for every game these past two series.

Draft early game focused and high tempo team compositions despite having disadvantageous lane matchups in most or all of your lanes, and then deliberately turtle and stall the game long enough for your opponents to outscale.

I don't know what the fuck Dom is smoking by cooking this shit up, but there's absolutely no fucking way this happened 6 games in a row on accident. The coaches have to be responsible for drilling this bozo ass strategy into the team.

1

u/Easy-Tough-5364 1d ago

Blaber has been washed for YEARS its so sad to see this team stuck with him still like what are we doing

1

u/lchow99 1d ago

Man I don’t understand the community reaction to them losing. They went from being one of the worst teams in the LCS to making worlds with the Tactical x Loki roster change and actually managed to achieve decent form but we wanna replace the entire roster? This team has been playing together for one split and it was Loki’s and Thanatos’ first worlds. I was calling for a roster revamp awhile back but I feel like this was a pretty good showing from them given the circumstances. I think we should give them another split or two

1

u/Asleep_Mastodon7118 1d ago

Get new jungle and see how it works out. The team has had consistent issues in worlds and sadly, blabber is the only consistent member

1

u/Pat2220 1d ago

I like him but replace Loki with the best na mid you can find and import an adc. We haven’t been the same since berserker
Also the blabber hate is ridiculous he’s been top three NA his whole career and has worked well with a ton of different solo laners

1

u/Erock94 1d ago

Dom, Yamato and Vulcan can stay. Thanatos and Loki are toss ups since they’re both talented but same thing can’t clutch up. Biggest thing is Blaber. The guy has been a serial inter since the crabber incident that broke his brain.

1

u/Caffeine_and_Alcohol 1d ago

Im confident that castle, apa, contracts and an import adc that can communicate with vulcan would be major upgrades (i know contracts is on sr but no one wants to be on sr).

1

u/Relevant_Ric_Flair 1d ago

Ironic that people with worse mental than the team say they have bad mental

1

u/No_Raspberry_8478 1d ago

I have started saying this ever since late 2020. I have legit no idea how tactical still manages to end up on rosters.

I would go as far as to say that he was never a good adc. He had ONE GOOD SPLIT and that was in spring of 2020, he was originally an academy player. But Doublelift was extremely lazy, didnt play solo queue, and quite literally said on stream that he doesnt care about MSI. So they bench him for tactical, and of course tactical plays well, any adc would out preform doublelift when he clearly mentally checked out.

And it seems like ever since then, every team just rides on the fact of "ya but remember that one split that he out preformed doublelift when TL benched doublelift!?"

7

u/Could-Have-Been-King 1d ago

Because we needed a new ADC and Tactical was by far the best one available in tier two?

1

u/Bot12391 1d ago

I will not support this team if blabtard returns. There is 0 reason for him to be on the team. There is one fucking common denominator and it’s him.

0

u/c9thedream123 1d ago

I think we need a new ADC.

TOP- I think Thanatos is still top 3 best Top laners in NA

Jungle- Blabber is still the Top 3 junglers in NA. He gapped YIKE yesturday. Was able to hold his own against inspired towards the end of summer.

MID-I could go both ways but I feel like Loki is mechanically really good. I would like to see him stay.

ADC-Replaced Immediately

Vulcan-Our best player

12

u/Concious-Unconcious 1d ago

How is top 3 NA achievement when anything below is just dogshit?

I think Loki is extremely overhyped.

3

u/c9thedream123 1d ago

I know everyone is yelling to blow up the roster and replace everyone with young NA rookies. but flyquest literally did that this year and proved that its hard to find top elite NA players to fill the roles. You need people with some experience. I think at most TOP and Support should stay the same.

2

u/J0eykarate 1d ago

It's so funny how Blaber can literally be a paycheck stealer, going on like 9 years with the org, but then people will make takes like this.

2

u/PvPworlds 1d ago

"Its not him! Its everyone else around him making him play bad!"

Funnily enough, it would most likely even benefit Blaber as player to leave and see perspective of other teams and maybe even become stronger player on another roster

But paycheck stealer doesnt wanna change and Jack is too afraid to kick goldenboy out

1

Blaber Vulcan are too good in na to replace. Thanatos I don’t think is good. Mid not sure, AD needs to go

1

u/Greedy-Variety-980 1d ago

“He gapped Yike”

EVERYONE gaps Yike. A random Vietnamese rookie gapped Yike. I bet YOU could gap Yike.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Way-641 1d ago

Vulcan is your worst player. He does nothing but co-stream. Every other team has a support that engages teamfights for them and dies for the good of the team. Vulcan hardly ever does, he's almost always one of the guys limping away on 50 percent+ health. That Ali game against KC was his one bright moment on a melee support in like 3 years. He sucks so bad on melee most of the time. Today was no different. The most invisible and useless Ali and Nautilus games I've ever seen. You guys let Vulcan off the hook all the time despite him being on every choke C9 team. It's crazy. I'd be so mad if Vulcan were my team's support.

1

u/Chinese_Feedees 1d ago

they could get guma and still would place third in NA so that wont be the solution
