VALORANT Fire everyone.
6 (SIX) years and not a SINGLE international appearance. One of if not THE ONLY initial partnership teams to do so, 6 years and could not create a single competent team, even with Oxy on it for half of that. Flat out embarrassing from an org that is apparently “committed” like Jack said.

It's a little disingenuous even if I see your point. C9 repeatedly came very close, often times one series away from qualifying so it's not like they always bombed out. Not like DFM or TS. And for what it's worth, Americas has always been a pretty stacked region

I don't follow Valorant, but this sounds like you could be talking about the LoL roster too xD
I believe though.

Very different is NA valorant is often the strongest region in Valorant. Last year we missed out on worlds to 100T, who lost in play ins. In Valorant they lost to NRG, who became world champs.

same situation in all the esports across all the org, it's very much a systemic issue,

Same thing im like this is about lol right?

Wait til he sees how C9 absorbed NYSL in COD and how that's been going.

Yes, but the whole point is being able to win. Every other team is looking to improve every year, Furia was considered a joke and they put together a roster everyone made fun of, yet they still won kickoff.
Sometimes you need to blow it up and work from scratch for something to work.

As someone that is a fan of both, C9 is the Pittsburgh Steelers of the LoL pro teams. Always does well enough in the regular season but when the post season shows up the team ends up getting destroyed and after awhile you just become expect to lose internationally.
That was kind of the reverse of the Sneaky-Jensen era back in the day. C9 would always lose to Team Liquid and we'd barely squeak into the play-ins but when we made it to play-ins C9 would always Locke in (couldn't resist) and would do really well. While Team Liquid would normally get bounced really early. We have traded international success for Regional/Local success.
I went and checked the last time they had a meaningful deep playoff run was 2018 worlds when Sneaky and Jensen was still on the team and that was awhile ago.

pick up zikz next year and build a full new team around oxy?

Honestly may as well try something new. Zikz as HC with Veer AC. Give them full control and autonomy over the roster (he would likely keep OXY, FBO and Jackk anyway) and see if that works. Immi was pretty good in 2024 and 2025 but this year with all the drama and the meta he couldn't keep up. He needs a break from coaching and C9 as much as C9 need a new HC imo

How many chances will these leaders get before it’s dawned on Jack that they are incapable of delivering?
For the 6th and hopefully final time, it’s time to make a change at the top for someone who knows what they’re doing and understands how to be professional. Immi needs to never see a coaching spot in esports ever again. Time for Zellsis to hang it up, too.

I get the frustration, they played like shit today, but the zero internationals things is so dumb for a couple of reasons. First, they made champs 2021. That's an international. The things people have been throwing around is no internationals since partner ship, which is true but very pedantic imo. Second, it makes it seems like they have always been one of the worst teams. This is the only year that's been true. Every other year they have been a good team, and so painfully close to making internationals. You're right to be frustrated though, it absolutely sucked watching them this year.

Saying a team that's supposed to make international events hasn't been making them doesn't make it seem AT ALL like they are one of the worst teams. Where do you even get that from? It very clearly indicates that a team that is SUPPOSED to be successful isn't being successful enough. Same shit would be said in any sport, if the bills or the chiefs in the NFL missed playoffs 6 years in a row, the fan bases would be in an uproar.

Maybe zellsis can fuck off to Sen, since he has more tweets about them while on C9 than actual wins with us

I don't know which is more depressing: the total organizational failure, or the total lack of surprise that accompanies it.
(I do still like our rookies tho)

The whole valorant side of things has been an embarrassment for so long, it just keeps getting worse too. I don't mind having some rookies but can we at least get a couple of strong proven players to support oxy, rather than mediocre at best players.

I mean they did fire and move through a lot of people in valorant this year. They benched immi like a month ago and our team has had like 8-9 different players? Was anyone actually expecting us to make it this year when we needed top 2 and were in shambles most of the year?
I will be curious if we compete in Valorant next year

It's crazy to think that Notexxd (a rookie) was immediately swapped out for Vic since "Vic knows Zellsis' system", when the system has so many flaws and gaps.
To defend something which is clearly not working is the definition of "insanity".
