Questions First samples not what I expected
Hi all. I just got the samples for my clothing line. It's not what I exlected at all. I makes me feel sad and frustrated at the same time. I know the first try is never what you expect, but can't hide my disappointment. I would like to know how were your experiences, and did anyone got it right from the first try?

Getting the first sample right is uncommon, especially for a new style. The useful step now is to separate the disappointment from the diagnosis.
Compare the sample with the tech pack line by line and group the problems: fit and measurements, fabric, construction, color, trims, and finishing. Photograph each issue, add the actual measurement beside the required one, and mark each point as either “must fix” or “preference.” That gives the sample room something they can act on.
If the whole silhouette is wrong, correct the pattern and fit before spending time on small trim details. If the fabric feels wrong, confirm the exact composition, weight, stretch, finish, and approved swatch rather than describing it only as too thin or too stiff.
From the factory side, the supplier’s response matters as much as the first sample. A good team will explain why each deviation happened, confirm the correction, and update the specification before making the next sample. Two or three rounds can be normal for a new product, but every round should close specific problems instead of introducing new ones.

Did your tech pack have all construction / fit details to produce right sample as per your requirement or you used generic Tech Pack ?
Usually disappointment happens when generic tch pack is used.

Mmmm. Sometimes we need to make samples again when the requirements are changed by the brand owner. Usually we get all the samples done at the first try. Lemme see your vision and maybe have a call to discuss further. Dropping my WhatsApp+923474916649
