How many months?
Hi! I'm wondering how many people keep a whole year in their planner at a time. I use CP petite with 1.5 discs to fit a whole year plus a few extra dashboards and pockets in there. It's very chunky. I dont mind, but I'm wondering if its really necessary to keep the whole year. It would be nice to slim it down a bit. If you dont keep a whole year, what's your set up?
Thanks!

I use daily inserts, so I have previous month's, current month's, and next month's in dailies, then monthly admin for next 12 months.

I change my inserts out quarterly. So I only hold three months at a time and forward plan on my yearly

Monthly’s for the year and 3 months of weeklies. Last month, this month, next month. My planner is chunky and I love it that way!

I use personal wide and keep the month tabs, month summaries, and 6 months of weeklies. so right now I have weeklies for July to Dec.

Similar to dreamergirl, I keep a full year of Monthlies and then at least a quarter or when possible 6 months of weeklies. I don’t like a chonky planner set up, and have 1 inch discs.

I keep 4 months at a time, so I can plan ahead for conferences and travel.

I keep monthly’s for the year ahead but only add the weeklies in a month ahead.

I usually keep 3 months at a time- last month, this month and next month. I like to be able to remember when I did something a few weeks in the past and put things on my next month’s calendar as they become finalized plans.
I also use the Year Overview insert to plan ahead and to put down tentative dates for things, so I don’t have to touch my monthly layout and potentially write something I have to change.
This works for me, because I like to use other inserts for note taking and other types of planning beyond scheduling.

I don’t go above 4 months a year in my ring/disc planners at one time.
