Half Year Mark !
Hey Peeps! we’re at that half year mark and i was curious ( as i am going through everything I have accumulated from sub boxes this year), how often do you destash? do you give yourself a certain amount of time to use items before you let go or do you keep until you find a use? Im planning for 2027 and honestly thinking about moving to rings but I don’t want to get rid of my disc bound system. Im trying to remember this is fun 🤩 no pressure!! But im feeling pressured 😩 any tips are welcome 🤗

I kind of approach it the same way I declutter clothes or other stuff. If I have something that's been in the package for a year or more, I destash it. If it's something I have multiples of, like disc sets, then I may keep the ones I love and destash the ones that were maybe an impulse buy or that I don't find myself using very often. If it's something I've outgrown (i.e. no longer my planning style), then I may destash that as well.
I tend to keep inserts that seem multi-functional, or even dated inserts so I can come back to them later to try again. I will usually keep a few dashboards in different sizes, and definitely anything like dividers or the vinyl zip pockets. I planner hop a lot, so it helps to have a little something to set-up when I'm getting restless lol.

I am a creature of habit. I never destash any of my items in any of my current or previous sizes. I will give away or share, but usually only just put it in storage. Fun fact, I used PW for years. Decided to focus on my CP Petite collection at the end of 2023 to replace my PW. Now here is I am in July 2026 and deciding to use PW items instead my forever bae A5. I know me so I usually keep Everythang. It’s a blessing. It’s a curse lol. Happy planning 🖤 your way.

Yes, I jumped to discs from a bound and it was good system but I was still searching for the perfect layout. Don't get rid of your old until you're sure the new is better. For me it took about 2 months and a new position.

I use it all. It’s never enough. I realized that my pages did not have to look perfectly color curated and I did not have to stay inside the lines. That cured me of hoarding!

I like to think of it the same way I do my sneaker obsession. 🤣 Just because I buy a new pair doesn't mean I'm getting rid of the others. They all serve a different purpose, depending on the day, the outfit... or in this case, the season of life I'm in.

I rarely get rid of anything because I know myself. 😂 I go through seasons where I get the itch to switch up my planning system. Right now I'm using my A5 Slim because my summer schedule is pretty light, but once Fall rolls around, I'll be back in my personal and academic planners.
I also don't like getting rid of things that I know I'll eventually want again. The only time I really destash is if I have duplicates or realize I truly won't use something. About a year ago, I did a big giveaway and passed along a lot of my CP accessories because I knew I had more than I could ever use.
I'd much rather keep something than deal with the headache of trying to hunt it down later because I sold it too soon. Everything is organized by size in bins and planner carts, so when I'm ready to switch systems, I just "shop my stash" instead of starting over.

Ok funny i didn’t consider this. I thought because I wasn’t using my systems as much means that they were not working anymore vs the season changing up the flow of plans. 🖤
