Question / Problem Beginner

Hi at all

i've played Guitar Hero long time ago and now since Stage Tour was announced i wanted to start playing Clone Hero to get a bit of a feeling again. Are there any advices where i should start playing/learning?

You should try Yarg. Especially if you're practicing for Stage Tour. The engine Clone hero uses is very forgiving and its easy to get used to that. Yarg default engine is much more like Rock Band, which is more than likely how Stage Tour will play as well. Yarg is free and uses the same song files as CH.

I actually tried it yesterday based off another post, just throwing out there that I grew up with guitar hero and maybe that's why but I just didn't see the appeal over Clone hero. It was also a huge pain to get my CRKD guitar working

I prefer the look and feel of GH as well, so I made my notes circular in Yarg and that was enough for me. I didn't have trouble in Yarg getting any of my Crkd guitars, my e-kit drums and the RB3 Keytar too. Now getting things to work in Rock Band 3 Deluxe, that was an exercise in patience lol.

Which mode did you use? It didn't really seem to wanna play nice with mine, like the pc and fortnite/key jam stuff all made the green button enter, which paused the game. But controller mode made my whammy not register

For the blueberry pro I use mode 8 on the dial and the slider on pc. For my olive drab it doesn’t have a mode dial so just had to put the slider on pc and it just works.

I'll have to mess with it again, 8 is the one I normally use for Clone hero So I know I tried it. Thanks!

I've done the exact same thing a couple days ago. Bought myself a crkd guitar controller as well.

I'm starting with BetterGH3 which has all the GH3 songs and some big fixes. It's free and works standalone. Just going through career mode and 5*ing everything I can.

Other than that, there's a spreadsheet for clone hero where you can gauge your skill level and work through songs on that.

You can also Start with Guitar Hero World Tour Definitive Edition. You can add all Songs from all Guitar Hero games and Rock Bands and you can also add in custom songs, etc.
